Simple Yet Effective List Building Strategies For Any 'Joe Blow

In this series called the "Unstoppable List Building Secrets", you'll gain and benefit from my fool-proof list building tips, tactics, strategies and techniques that WORK.

You'll gain more knowledge to:

  • Start your own list from scratch.

  • Grow your list. and;

  • Profit from your own list.

In this first part (Part 1), I'll give you an introduction on list building & how valuable having your own list is worth.

If you're SERIOUS about making money online then you need to do build your business the right way.

If you want to make $100,000 overnight then this newsletter isn't for you.

If you want to make money online the right way, then you need to treat your business as a business (if you haven't done so). Let me say that again - You need to treat your business as a business. Just like a brick & mortar business, it requires a lot of time, effort and persistence to start noticing results. Take advantage of using the Internet for making money - It doesn't require a lot of investment, not as risky and so many other reasons.

Now, back to list building...

Can I ramble on about how valuable having your own list is?

  • You can almost write your own pay checks
simply by sending off a promotion or offer to your list. The amount you get depends on numerous reasons such as offer, price, benefits & more. I remember when I wanted a new computer, all I did was send off an email to my list of only 233 (way back) about a great product, woke up the next day to find over $700 worth of orders. The great thing was that the product wasn't even mine, it only took me less than 15 minutes to write a solo email to send off to my list and a few seconds to click the "Submit button" using my autoresponder service.

  • You can build rapport, credibility & relationships
Once you have targeted people on your list you can consider yourself an expert. As long as you create value for subscribers. There's no use having your own list just to send out offer after offer. You might as well say goodbye to that list. You'll get unsubcriptions faster then you could click your mouse button.

  • You're able to do Joint-Ventures with your list
What better way than to ask your list who'd like to do a project, promotion, ad swap or whatever with your product? It's fast and easy. You don't have to hunt around the Internet to find people who are in the same niche.

  • You're able to do valuable surveys
This isn't what you think. It's not one of those people calling you up between 1-5pm about a new service that will cut your phone bills in half. That's not what I'm talking about.

What I'm talking about here is surveying so that YOU KNOW what your subscriber's want, what your subscriber's problems are and what they desire most.

This is a million-dollar marketing tool you can use at your fingertips and it's completely free!

You could offer them an incentive for answering your survey.

Here's a great template you could use as a survey:
"What is your biggest problem about list-building?"

Simple fill in the gaps: "What is your biggest problem about _______________?"

You'll get a ton of responses and these responses are your "answers" to creating your next product. It could be an ebook, a report, an article or even a home-study course!

Can you see how powerful it is now?

I could go on for days & weeks about how having your own list is a goldmine.
So what's my point here? I don't want to "show-off" that I made "this & that" amount of money with my list, I want to show you the true potential of having your own list and how any Joe Blow could do it. Everyone starts from zero just like I did.

So in the next few weeks you'll discover my strategies for building a list. Not just a list, but a targeted & responsive list.

You'll start seeing results once you've gone through and take action on my tips and strategies.

I want to conclude Part 1 of the "Unstoppable List Building Secrets" series by saying this - If you want to build a solid income online then you need to get serious. STOP buying those "get-rich-quick schemes" that claim they can make you this & that amount of money in less time. Here's a rule of thumb - If it sounds too darn good to be true then it is. I've fallen for many of these and I can smell them from 10 miles away.

To be continued....

Top 5 Ways to Promote and Market an Affiliate Program

Marketing affiliate products can be challenging if you don’t know what to do and how to go about the marketing. There are various methods via which you can get an affiliate product in the face of people. But in this article, we’ll be examining the top five methods that you can use in promoting affiliate products.

1. Marketing to a list.

It is imperative that every marketer build a list. Why? Because the money is in the list. Anything short of that is less than spectacular. Marketing to an “opt-in” list built by you almost always generates lots of money on affiliate products. To do this effectively, all you need to do is create an avenue where you can consistently send your subscribers an email with offers.

The list is about the best source of marketing because the subscribers trust you –if you have been offering high quality information and recommending reputable products- and know that what you offer them is of high value. Remember the “no lesson today” method we talked about in a particular edition, this is where you can utilise the method effectively. You can just decide to take one day off every week to make them these offers.

2. Use Pay per click methods.

Using PPC methods effectively entails just two things: Doing proper keyword research and bidding reasonably. PPC search engines ask you to pay a preset amount for every click you generate. The good thing about using pay per click Programs such as Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MSN Adcenter is you get highly targeted traffic.

Only those who are searching for your products get to see them. For instance, if I am looking for Shoes of size 43 to buy and I type that keyword into the google search bar, I will get results that are tailored towards that search. So, the only listings I will see will be those related to shoes.

Now, if someone –an affiliate of a shoe merchant- places an ad about the various shoes sizes, I will definitely check out his website. If I like what I see, I could decide to buy from him. Do you get the idea? To use this method well, learn how to research your keywords properly so that you won’t run at a loss.

3. Use Ezine and newsletter ads.

Most affiliate programs provide you with material that you can send as solo ad or top sponsor ads. All you need do is buy an adspace in any of the ezines that catch your fancy and have them send the offer to their subscribers.

If your letter is well crafted, [people have been known to make lots of dough from this method. You could also use this method to just generate a flurry of traffic to your landing page where people will sign up for more information or an ecourse that you would have programmed your autoresponder to send out on a daily basis.

In this ecourse, they’ll read the information and then go ahead to visit the recommended link (your affiliate link). That way you could also make lots of sales.

4. Distribute Viral reports.

These are reports that different people can pass on to their friends to read. All you need do is fill it with information that is extremely relevant, include your affiliate links in the reports and have give people the permission to give it away as long as the content is not tampered with. This also generates lots of results not to mention profits as it spreads like wildfire all over the internet.

5. Article Writing.

Write articles that are tailored to the products and services you intend to sell, and post on various article directories. Most article directories have categories for almost anything on the surface of the earth.

From UFOs to Astrology to Wizardry to Xmas Celebrations. Write your articles; create a compelling byline with the affiliate link lading to the destination page. If you want to mask the link, you can either create a redirect or use link shrinking services such as tunyurl.com, snipurl.com, Gentleurl.com.

To test how effective this method is, write just 5 articles on a topic, post in five different article directories then wait to see the results. If you are satisfied with it, then you might want to incorporate it into your overall marketing strategy.

7 Powerful Ways To Generate Unstoppable Traffic

Generating traffic to your site means more chances of generating sales, leads and interests. There are multiple ways of driving traffic to your site. Some work and some don't.

Before I reveal to you the 7 ways to generate traffic to your site, you need to know the fundamentals of generating traffic to your website first.

Basically, there are 3 types of traffic routes you can use.

The first is to buy traffic
Buying traffic includes pay-per-click such as Google Adwords, Overture & Miva. You can obviously place your ad on other peoples newsletters such as the Unstoppable Marketing newsletter for a small price between $5-$20 depending on where it’s located.

The second way is to D.I.Y (Do It Yourself).
This involves writing up your own articles and posting them to article directories such as ezinearticles.com & articlecity.com, setting up your own affiliate program and more.

The third fundamental is by borrowing traffic.
There’s no better way than to leverage your efforts with somebody else’s traffic. You can place your ad on someone else’s ezine/newsletter that’s related to your business.

Those are the 3 fundamentals you should know before going ahead.

Now let’s look at the 7 ways to generate unstoppable traffic 24/7.

  1. Get involved with the community – Post on hyper-active forums & boards that relate to your market Why do this? Because your signature is added to all your posts and readers can click on the link which directs them to your site. Basically, we want to make the most out of signature files. Not only on forums & boards but to your emails as well. Here’s an example of a signature file I use:

Here for your success,

Some popular Internet marketing forums:

  1. Pay for instant traffic using Google Adwords(r).
Adwords(r) are those little classified ads that you see on the right hand site when you search for something. You only pay if someone clicks on your ad.

Your ad will appear on Google's search in about 10-15 minutes time. It’s the fastest way you can generate targeted leads. You could also try Overture.com and Miva.com. But I'd highly recommend using Adwords - because of numerous reasons. There's enough information about Google Adwords out there.

  2. Create your own blog
Get a free blog at blogger.com or Wordpress.org. Post content & keyword rich articles on your blog. Search engines love content. It’s best to have ‘original’ content rather then an articles that’s been posted to hundreds if not thousands of other sites. It also brings back news readers who regularly read your blog.

  3. Use eBay as a traffic machine
Go to Alexa.com > Traffic rankings and search for ‘ebay.com’ and take a look at what ebay.com is ranked. As I write this report it’s ranked 9th in the world!

Here’s an example of how to generate traffic using eBay...
    • Grab a hot resell rights ebook you have in your collection.
    • Create a small txt file using notepad and add some information about your business and of course yourself.
    • Save it as “Bonus.txt” and include this small txt file with the resell rights ebook.

Now, what happens? You’ve got yourself a little viral machine going around to a highly targeted crowd. Remember, it’s a resell rights product so you can resell it to John Smith. John has the rights to resell it to other people as well. If he gave it out for free to his 10,000 list then how powerful would that be? It's create a massive viral effect, as long as the small “bonus.txt” file is included.

You could use alternative file formats such as .HTML or even better .PDF which appears to have more value. I have a video tutorial product called MyViralGenerator that’s purely dedicated to just this one idea i.e. – using eBay to drive traffic to your site.

  4. Write & Submit Articles
You can either write one yourself or outsource it from elance.com or rentacoder.com if you hate writing!. Typically, I content-rich article consists of 400-700 words.

Post your article(s) to article directories such as EzineArticles.com and ArticleCity.com.

How does it bring in traffic?
Most articles include a ‘resource’ box at the bottom of the article where you can write a small paragraph about the publisher. This is your where you tell them to go. If your article was informative to the reader they will most likely click on the link in your resource box. You need to make them go somewhere after they’ve read so that’s how it works. But that’s not all. Most articles are free to pass along as long as the resource box remains intact. Can you see where it’s going now?

I did a test last year to see if it really works. About a month later I searched my name and I was shocked to see how many sites added my article to there site!

Here's a sample of a resource box you can copy:

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

  5. Post comments on other peoples blogs
What better way than to post feedback on blogs that are related to your niche? Not just any blog, but a blog that dedicated to "Dog shampoos" or "Building your list".

First find blogs that generate a lot of traffic.

Second, make sure it includes content-rich posts. What does this do? Search engine love content so this will bring the person searching for your niche to that blog and thus seeing your comment.

It only takes a few seconds to do.

  6. Joint Ventures
I saved this for last and I love it. Why? It’s helped one of my sites rank 507 in the world in less than 24 hours and the site is not at a consistent 10,700. If your site is under 100,000 that’s typically good.

Exchange links or ads with your JV’s. You place your link on their site, ezine or newsletter, and they place their ad on yours. It’s not hard to find JV’s. All you need to do is have a plan that’ll work both ways (a win/win), and never be afraid to ask. If you get rejected then so what. What if that person said yes? That would mean an extra 1,000, 10,000 or even 100,000 hits to your site. It’s all in the numbers game.

Applying just one of these methods to your business will increase traffic. Applying just an extra method is like a butterfly effect. The small things you do that make a dramatic difference overtime.

When you apply all of the 7 techniques, you will get an Unstoppable flow of traffic consistently coming in -- which in turn brings you sales, subscribers, leads, better page rank or whatever you wanted...

3 Ways to Generate more Profits From Your Subscribers

It is easy to make money from your subscribers. Unfortunately, lots of email marketers are not getting much response.

The number one question asked by most email marketers is “How do I get more response from my lists?”

This question is about the easiest solved. It is just that people are always looking for the harder ways because they think “the harder the technique, the more profits I’ll make”. Wrong. Remember Occam’s razor? You would if you have read the One Minute Millionaire by Robert. G. Allen and Mark Victor Hansen.

It simply states that when you have varying solutions to a problem, the simplest solution is always the best. This is simple isn’t it? But most people think it is not possible. So they keep searching for the wrong solutions.

In this article, I’ll explain three simple steps that will increase the profits you make from your list(s).

1. Provide value. Don’t give your subscribers trash. Provide them with high quality content. The reason they subscribed to you is because you know something they don’t and they want to benefit from that. So, fill their needs.

While it is good to have a guest writer occasionally, let your voice be heard. Let people realise the import of what they are learning from you. Give them YOUR own tips, YOUR own advice. You have experience. Share it with them.

Make sure your content is practical. Think “what do I want them to do after reading this?” Your subscribers should be able to come away from the computer thinking about what you said and the possible applications.

If you keep offering them quality content, you are bound to have them waiting for your next edition. The reason subscribers unsubscribe from any list is because they are not getting any value from the marketer. So make it an important factor in your marketing.

You don’t have to send them emails daily. If you do it biweekly, weekly or monthly and offer high quality content, you are bound to get astonishing results.

2. Check to see if your subscribers get your mails. This can be done though it might entail an amount of work.

Simply send them an email and tell them to hit the reply button if they got the mail. This would give you an idea of how many are getting your mails compared to the number of people you sent it to. The idea behind this is simple.

Most marketers miss out a lot on the email campaigns because their subscribers are not getting their mails and therefore, they cannot make any money.

It is amazing but statistics have shown that about 10% of the total number of people on your list gets your mails. That leaves out 90%! Gross isn’t it?

3. Send offers. Obvious technique; few practitioners.

Marketers are usually scared they will lose their subscribers if they send them offers. Wrong. They subscribed because they felt they could get high value from you and trust you over time. If they can trust you, then it means you can provide them with high quality resources.

Over 90% are not exploring this avenue. So, if you want to increase your income, explore this avenue. This will put you on the top moneymaking 10%.

Let’s recap:

1. Provide value
2. Check to see they got our mails
3. Send them genuine practicable offers.

Practice these three techniques, and you are bound to smile more frequently to the bank.

How To Build A List Using Free Giveaway Events

There are a number of different ways in which you can
get people to join your mailing list; however,
participating in free giveaway events is perhaps the
easiest and most cost-effective of all. The only
problem you will encounter is actually figuring out
how to participate in such events. So how can you do it?

The first way in which you can build a mailing list
through free giveaway events is to actually create the
events yourself. You can do this by organizing other
business owners in your given niche and asking them if
they are interested in giving away products in order
to build mailing lists. In most cases, you will want
to use some sort of event as a reason for conducting
the giveaway. Perhaps you will organize a massive
Christmas giveaway – or perhaps you will use some
other Holiday. Regardless of what event you select,
remember to use some sort of a premise to help it
build momentum.

Once you have selected a premise, you will also want
to start contacting everyone who sells a product in
your given niche. This works especially well if you
contact business owners who sell multiple products –
some of which are relatively old. They will usually be
looking to make some money off of older products by
giving them away for free.

Let each of your potential partners know upfront what
you plan to do. Let them know that you plan to
organize a giveaway event, in which all product owners
will allow visitors to download free copies of their
software in exchange for providing them with an email
address.

You can organize this in several different ways. One
way is to allow each owner who joins to give away all
the products of all the members in exchange for email
addresses. Another way is to attempt to get several
different email addresses per giveaway sign-up. The
first is probably a better option to select if you are
creating it yourself, as it is more likely to attract
partners.

Now, if you don't want to start such an event
yourself, you can always wait for someone else in your
given niche to organize it for you. Again, look out
for these events around Holidays, including Christmas
and New Years.

Once you actually get the email addresses of those
who sign up for the products, you will then want to
carefully cultivate them into buyers. You may want to
do this by either using an autoresponder or sending
out periodic emails before you ever try to pitch.

7 Reasons Why Your Subscribers Aren't Buying From You

As an Internet business owner, you hear the phrase “the money is in
the list” on an almost daily basis. Perhaps this form of social proof
convinced you to build a list for your business in the first place,
rather than sending visitors directly to a sales page.

Initially, things probably went off without a hitch. You created a
high quality squeeze page, redirected all of your traffic to it, and
then started counting the opt-ins. It may have bothered you at first
to give up sales you could have made directly, but you knew it was
worth it – or at least you thought it was worth it.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out as everyone predicted they
would. And now you're struggling to make enough off of your list to
pay for your autoresponder, when you know you could have made five
times as much through direct sales. You want to give up and go back
to direct sales, but you're hoping there's some other way.

So why aren't your customers buying from you? There are a number of
reasons. In the remainder of this article, I am going to present the
top seven – the most likely reasons why they have for not purchasing
your offers.

  1. You made too many offers too soon. This kills a lot of lists. If
your first few emails in your autoresponder series bombard readers with offers, there's a good chance that the people receiving your emails aren't reading them anymore.

  2. You gave out low quality information. This, too, is a big list
killer. In a desperate effort to make a list, site owners throw
together low-quality information. What they don't understand is that
    this wont list subscribers reading.

  3. You do not have enough credibility. If you immediately launch into
a product offer in the first issue, you probably will have no
credibility with your subscribers whatsoever, which will act as a
    barrier to their buying.

  4. Your offer is not good enough. If you don't have at least
reasonably good products, you can expect less and less list members
to buy each successive product. You can also expect more return
    requests.

  5. You offer untargeted products. If you are bombarding your lists
with untargeted offers, not only will they not buy, but they also
will stop paying attention and may even unsubscribe.

  6. You have made it too difficult for subscribers to actually
    purchase from you.
If you don't accept credit cards and Paypal at a
bare minimum, you can expect that very few people will purchase your
offer. No one wants to write out a check and mail it to you. Seriously.

  7. Your pitch was too weak. Perhaps you failed to give them a free
demo version of your product or perhaps the copy simply was not
compelling. Whatever the reason happens to be, you didn't compel your
readers to buy, so they didn't.

As I said earlier, I am not going to provide you with solutions to
each of these problems. The solutions should be relatively self-
evident. All you have to do now is re-read these seven items,
identify which of these is preventing your subscribers from buying,
and then revise your strategy to eliminate these barriers.

How to Use Simple Written Articles to Drive Lots of Traffic to Your Website - Part 1

For a long time now, article marketing has been useful in helping people drive lots of traffic to their websites. Unfortunately, many people do not think they can write very good article pieces and as a result, most of them give up. Article marketing can be hectic in the sense that you have to consistently write articles to meet the demands that are needed by those who may need your information.

Article marketing requires a lot of research and knowledge. If not, you’ll end up turning out garbage like most articles out on the internet. There are two major ways of writing your articles. You could either decide to write yourself or outsource –contract it to another person. Writing takes a lot of patience. If you have not been writing prior to this time, it will only take you 1 hour of practice every day for the next 1 month to become pretty good at it. All you need is the ability to gather your thoughts together and put them down on paper.

If you do not want to write by yourself, outsource your article contracts. For a little amount of money –say between $10-$15 depending on the length of the article- you could get article writers to write your articles for you and have them pass on all the rights to you. Whether you want to write by yourself or outsource, the best way to approach writing articles is by doing your research. You need to know what questions people are asking as you do not want to deal with issues that have been overflogged already.

Articles that are specific usually get a lot more high quality traffic than a generalized one. For example, if you wrote an article on autoresponders, you may get traffic but may not make any sales. But if you wrote an article on a topic like “How to make money using your autoresponder”, “How to suck in cash every time you send an email to your subscribers” etc., you’ll find people will readily listen. Reason? You are providing a specified content, giving high quality information and more importantly, answering a question that many people are asking. A typical example is this article you are reading. I could have titled it “Article writing: A general Overview”. Some people would sure take a look at what I have written just for looking sakes. But with the topic, “How to Use Simple Written Articles to Drive Lots of Traffic to Your Website,” you are bound to click through. Why? Because there is promise of my solving your traffic needs with the information in the article. Now, assuming I have a website at the end of this article with the title: “Article writing: A general Overview” or one with the title: “How to Use Simple Written Articles to Drive Lots of Traffic to Your Website,” which would you more likely click? Yeah, this one because I could solve your traffic generation or website promotion problems.

So, your article should be very highly targeted to the audience who would need the information you will be passing across to them. In the Part 2 of these series, you’ll find out the various techniques you can use in writing highly needed articles and generate lots of traffic from it.

Remember today’s lesson: Research the market, field, niche, or topic properly so you can know what questions people are asking and then solve it through your article.

How to Write Your Own 5-7 Day Mini eCourse on Any Subject

It was once in style to claim that mailing lists no longer worked. The opposite seems to be true now: on every forum, marketers and business owners proclaim the power of using an opt-in form and a newsletter to make sales from follow-ups. I personally suggest this method, as it has been proven time and time again to produce higher conversion rates than attempts at direct sales.

With that being said, it is important to determine the best way in which you can create such a mini e-course to use for your given products. I personally suggest one of two ways.

Regardless of which you pick, you will want to start with a market research phase. Your goal here is to determine what it is exactly that potential readers would be looking for in an e-course. If you already have a site that receives traffic on this given topic or niche, you will want to setup a poll or send out surveys to your customer base. If not, you will have to conduct keyword research to determine what people are looking for most.

Once you have selected 5-7 topics for your e-course (depending on the length you want your course to be), you will then want to determine if you should create the course yourself. Now, if you're unfamiliar with the topic and do not feel comfortable with the quality of your own writing, you will want to hire a ghostwriter to complete the e-course for you. You can do this by soliciting a skilled professional on http://www.elance.com or http://www.guru.com. Clearly describe what you want in the course and which sources you would like them to use for reference information. This will help you to determine whether or not they are borrowing material directly from sources; it will also ensure that you get exactly what you are looking for.

Now, if you want to create your own e-course, you can simply research the information on the given topic, break it up into 5-7 articles; and then write those articles yourself. Once you have completed those steps, all you will have left to do is load the course into your autoresponder, setup an opt-in form, and then begin driving traffic to it.

When creating the course, there are a number of important things to keep in mind. Perhaps most important of all, you will want to determine how you are going to monetize your e-course and whether or not that method will be effective.

I personally suggest that you choose from one of these forms of monetization: 1) put the actual course on your site, send out links to it in emails, and put Adsense ads in and around the course; 2) sell advertising space in the course; 3) scatter affiliate links throughout the course in appropriate places; or 3) sell nothing throughout the entire course; at the end of the course, attempt to upsell the reader with some special offer.

Regardless of how much experience you have writing or working with autoresponders, you can create an e-course on any subject; and, in doing so, you can drastically increase your conversion rates.

Make Mine an E-book

Everyone is busy. No wonder that headline news and internet banner lines get more attention than serious news magazines. This is a world addicted to information but we want it by I.V., fast and focused. E-books give that kind of fast and focused fix to information junkies.

Using the E-book approach, you can teach almost anything to almost anyone. Don't be fooled by size. Smaller is not less when it comes to a well written E-book. Think of the old example of how to eat an elephant: one bite at a time. That's the genius of the E-book with tightly focused information, one bite at a time.

The E-book is portable in ways that print publisher never considered. You can drag around a huge volume of War and Peace or download an e-book analysis of that classic on your IPod. Which way would you rather study for a literature exam?

For training in business topics, the E-book is right on target. E-books are focused and available on demand. As a new employee needs to learn a technique, it's available on E-book instantly. Colleges and Universities are using more and more E-book texts and supplemental texts. With the high cost of textbooks and their weight (pounds, not profound), E-books are a welcome cost saving for students.

Almost any hobby, sport, craft or pass time you can name makes an ideal subject for E-book. Because E-books are around 30-50 pages, sometimes less, different aspects of the subject can be detailed. Instead of buying a 200 page print book on Gardening, you can get an E-book on topics such as; Herb Gardening in Planter Boxes or Mini-Roses for Victorian Gardens. With E-books, you discover what you want to know without getting more than you need.

You can write an e-book. Yes, you can. Start by finding your "niche" or specialty. What are you passionate about? Do you have a new approach to herb gardening? Did you build a home recording studio with big sound on a bargain budget? Have you found creative ways to recycle old household items? Those ideas are the beginnings of a E-book.

A short book is not a sloppy book. Regardless of size, any book begins with a concept and an outline. The concept is one sentence description of what you have to say. Sales people call it an "elevator speech", a way to present your key idea in 30 seconds or about the time you have to talk with someone in an elevator. Take that concept and develop an outline. Yes, just like your English teacher tried to show you in high school. List 3-5 key points then under each point, summarize what you plan to present. Take that outline and start writing.

Your E-book can be a free gift for visiting your site, available for purchase or packaged to sell to other internet marketers. As an e-book author, you establish yourself as an authority and potentially draw more traffic to your site. Start writing your E-book today!

Traffic - 7 Ways To Generate Free Website Traffic

Generating free traffic is not always the impossible feat that it is made out to be. In fact, there are many different ways in which you can generate free traffic. Some are better than others; and some are especially effective in some niches, but not in others. Below, I've listed seven such methods:

1. Write articles and submit them to directories. Include a link in your resource box that points to your site. This will generate traffic and click throughs long after you publish it.

2. Add “keyword” pages to your site. You can do this by writing articles that are focused around a certain keyword and then simply uploading them to your site. When your site is indexed by the search engines, traffic will pick up for those keywords.

3. Begin finding link partners and exchanging links. This will not only get you direct click through traffic from other sites, but it will also get you search engine traffic once those sites are indexed and your site is given credit for the inbound links.

4. Create a high-quality flash video or real life video; add it to a page on your site. Post that video on You Tube, Break.com, and on all social bookmarking sites, such as http://del.icio.us, and http://www.technorati.com. If your video is exceptionally funny or interesting, people will begin to circulate your video around the Internet. Remember to include the URL of your site in the video, so viewers can figure out how to find your products.

5. Create a free report on a specific subject related to your business. In that report, include a link to your site (preferably a newsletter opt-in form) every few pages. Take that report and give it away for free to every site owner in your niche. If you have a link to one of your products in that report, allow the site owner to rebrand it. That will make him much more likely to redistribute it.

6. Post regularly on forums related to your site. This is perhaps the easiest and quickest way to generate traffic. All it entails is creating an account on several good forums, making useful and interesting posts, and then including a signature file that allows readers to click through to your site.

7. Post free ads in places that actually get traffic. Using “free ad forums” may be a waste of time in many instances; however, bulletin boards that get traffic, but allow free advertisement, may be a good place to look.

If your current advertising budget is higher than you'd like, you should consider using free advertising. The seven tips I outlined above are just a few of the avenues you can take.

Using Blogs to Make Money

There are a number of different ways in which you can use blogs to make money. Some blog owners constantly put up content-intensive, frequently-updated material; whereas others simply add a new post every once in a while. Both models can work reasonably well at generating revenue.

Let's look at the first model and what is required: in order to make money with a high quality blog, you will want to generate most of your traffic through word of mouth recommendation, rather than through search engine optimization, which will not give you any benefits for producing superior material. This means that you will want to promote your blog through different avenues.

I personally suggest that you consider two different avenues: 1) using social bookmarking sites to gain steam; and 2) promoting on forums.

Doing well with the first option entails creating something that is legitimately interesting; and then facilitating its circulation by submitting that page to social bookmarking sites, such as http://del.icio.us and http://www.digg.com. Additionally, on your blog, post a link that brings users to a social bookmarking site on which they can vote for your video or whatever it is you created. The more who vote on your blog, the better that blog post will rank on the social bookmarking system, increasing the amount of people who read your blog.

Now, if you prefer to take a different approach – to create multiple profitable, but low-maintenance blogs – you can simply create a blog and purchase information for it. For instance, you could setup a blog about dieting; and then purchase a set of 15 articles from a ghostwriter. Every 3-4 days, you could post a new article about dieting. Once you have a blog running, you can then move to the next one while you wait for the first to begin getting search again traffic.

With this method, you will want to get natural search engine traffic, rather than referred traffic, as the content you post will be high-quality, but not anything that will elicit some type of viral effect from social bookmarking sites.

Furthermore, when generating traffic, you will want to find ways to recycle it to ensure that your traffic constantly grows in the future.

Last, you will want to figure out how to monetize your blog or blogs. You can do this with advertising, by selling products, or by setting up some type of subscription. I personally suggest that you leave your blog unmonetized until you begin to build a regular base of visitors; however, if you are planning to go the multiple blog route, you may simply want to throw up Adsense ads immediately.

Copywriting - How To Use The Power Of Words To Effortlessly Persuade People To Buy Now

Imagine changing one word in your sales copy and it would
increase sales dramatically...

How can you accomplish this? Simply by using the right set
of words and phrases.

It's been 4 years already since I've been marketing online
and the number one skill you can have is writing killer web
copy.

But learning how to write great copy takes practice. A lot
of practice.

During my past online marketing experience I
compiled a list of hundreds of power words and phrases that
I think were really compelling to me.

Each time I came across a great piece of copy I would immediately
write down the words they used that attracted me onto my 49c
notepad.

Today, I have a great list of jaw-dropping words I can refer
to when I'm writing any type of marketing media such as
sales copy.

The problem is that there's so much competition in cyber
space. People creating "make money" ebook products, "diet"
ebook products and many more.

A lot of questions from people selling information products
came up, such as:

  • How can I separate myself from my competition?
  • How can I make my sales copy more irresistible?
  • How can I use psychological devices to inspire & persuade

    people to take action?

The first thing you can do to dramatically increase
conversion rates is change the way you describe and explain
things.
Don't bore people with overused words and phrases such as
"How to create ebooks in 5 steps".
Instead, add power words, psychological words, and phrases.

Here's an example - "How To Easily & Quickly Create A
Winning eBook Using 5 Proven Steps, Guaranteed"
.

Can you see the difference?
If this were a product, which one out of the two headlines
would you buy from? Of course the second headline!
Because:
  1. It makes a promise ("Guaranteed")
  2. It highlights the main benefit ("Create A Winning ebook")
  3. It shows you how easy it is ("Easily & Quickly")
  4. It's concise & specific ("5 proven steps")

This is just one use of using the power of words and
phrases. This concept can be used on headlines, subject
lines, auction headlines/descriptions, Pay-Per-Click advertising
and any marketing media you could think of.

Here are four easy steps you can take right now to create a list
of killer words and phrases for you to refer in the future:
  1. But a notepad - It doesn't need to be fancy. I use a

49c notepad I bought from the local grocery store. Or you

could use a word processing software such as notepad.

  2. Keep this notepad next to you at all times when you're

online. If you see a word that sounds appealing, write it

    down immediately.

  3. Organize them in alphabetical order. Numbers can also

be added to you list. For example 100%.

  4. If you're not on your computer and you see a great word,

write it down on anything you can find - even a paper towel.

Or type it on your mobile phone.

I'm speaking from experience and creating your own 'list' of
words and phrases can benefit immensely for your online
business.

When you get to the stage of writing your copy, simply take
out your words list and insert some words to juice up your
copy.

Without doing small exercise anyone can create, will just
lead to poor copy and allot of thinking. Thinking of words
to use on your copy.

So if you really want to dramatically increase your
conversion rate
then the first and most simplest things you
could do, without paying an extra dime on advertising, is
changing the way you communicate to the reader. And that's by
using the power of words & phrases.

Markets - 10 Reasons Not To Go Into The Make Money Market

1.Your competition is highly skilled. If you think it is easy to compete in the “make money” market, think again. Your competition has mastered the art of selling, which means he or she will be an extremely tough competitor.

2.Other markets offer less resistance. The “make money” market is highly oversatured with sellers. For this reason, it is tough to claim decent positions on search engines. This is not so with all niches.

3.The learning curve is high if you're inexperienced selling “make money” products. Since your ability to train people to sell will be directly dependent on your ability to sell to them, many people will be reluctant to buy from you unless your presentation is far beyond average.

4.Even if you sell within the “make money” market, your target audience should be small, not large. You want to find a specific group that can be matched to a specific product you will produce or have already produced.

5.Other products are easier to market. When it comes down to it, people are highly suspicious of any type of “make money” product or service. If you're selling something else to them, chances are thatthey will be considerably less likely to worry that you are trying to rip them off.

6.Buyers in the “make money” market may be more likely to return products, as they perceive sellers to have tricked them if they do not succeed in making money with the product (which they usually don't, no matter how good it is).

7.Buyers wont judge your product on how it “should be” presented according to protocol that is normally used for “make money” products. Instead, they will look at the list of features you have provided.

8.You're better off in the long run if you pursue a field in which you are interested, rather than simply a “make money” field. If you don't have any serious interest in your product, you will more than likely do a poor job creating and marketin it.

9.Other markets can often be more profitable. Even though you've heard about those million dollar days, there are other industries which can be just as profitable, provided that you spend the time to select the right one and to cultivate profits.

10.If you don't have a background in “making money” with some specific system, you may be better off creating a book or product on some area in which you have specific expertise.

To reiterate, there are many business models you can create; however, a business model that caters to the “make money” crowd is almost always a mistake.

How to Make Money as an Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is an extremely lucrative niche and many people are making money from it. From just $50 a month to almost $250,000 a month, people are making money just referring people to merchants’ websites and get paid in return for their efforts.

An affiliate marketer makes money by just referring potential customers to the website of the merchant. If the customers buy as a result of an affiliate marketer’s directing them to the website, they earn a commission. To make money as an affiliate marketer, you need to know what you are selling. The mistake many affiliate marketers make is they send their lists offers just to earn some money without even trying out the products they are recommending to their customers. So, to make money as an affiliate marketer,

1. Know all about the products and services you are referring to people. It won’t take you much. You can pick up the product. Most times, all the hype we hear and see online telling about the effectiveness of a product is just a marketing strategy. There have been products that have been highly touted as being high quality when in essence, they are all high cost programs. For instance, an affiliate refers a customer to a merchant who has promised to give him 50% commissions. If the product the affiliate wants to sell is $197 each, he’ll be getting $98.5 after each sale.

2. Create a website for the purpose of selling the products. It is popularly known as a landing page. It is the page where visitors will arrive at first before they go ahead to the merchants’ website. The beautiful thing about this method is you can also create an opt-in list from this page. Anyone who visits the website obviously has an interest in products that you might have to offer. Selling affiliate products can be done as an aside to your main business and can help you profit very well. So, instead of just selling your own products, you get to sell other peoples’ products to make money.

3. On the website or blog, presell the customer. Preselling simply means building up your customers up to the level that they want to pick up the products and services you recommend. Preselling does not mean writing a sales pitch. Most new affiliate marketers make this mistake a lot. The truth is people are looking to buy something they think they are not being coined into. Unfortunately, not many people can write salescopy that is not only informative, but compelling. To make this approach profitable for instance, you could write an article around the product you want to sell.

A typical example is writing an article on how to effectively do sleight-of-hand. Then, create at the bottom, a link –your affiliate link- to a website where your visitors can find more information. The information they will find when they visit the link is the sales page on magic tricks. Now, the key to making his work is by providing a highly informative article on the products. Articles that are drab and dull will not produce the desired results while articles that are highly informative will most definitely produce results as visitors would like to peruse for more information.

How To Get Your Subscribers To Buy From You Without Asking For Refunds

It is a common thing among marketers that they always get requests for refunds. If you have been around for a while, you’ll know this happens frequently. It is a normal trend of the market. Usually, between 2-10% of people who buy your products will ask for a refund for the product they purchased from you. This is a common occurrence even among top marketers online.

People ask for refunds due to various reasons, but it is more common among over-hyped products. There are other reasons though. Since it will always happens, how do you reduce as much as possible, the refunds that may stem from your subscribers?

1. Do not over-hype your products. It is only natural that you want to tell the best part of your products and make people believe they are actually better than all the other products in the same category. Doing this only raises your subscribers’ expectations. So, when they go through the book or products, they are bound to be disappointed because they expected too much and got less value than what was portrayed. For instance, the so-called internet guru who dubbed himself “The Rich Jerk” got quite a number of requests for refunds for his product simply because there was too much hype. This is the same for a current product making the waves now. People buy, only to find there isn’t much secrets per se. Be clear and concise. Over deliver on what you promised to deliver. This increases your subscribers’ trust in you and the perceived value of your product.

2. State clearly in your confirmation email sent to your customers that their credit cards will be billed by your company if you have a payment processor. But if you do not have, and are using a third-party payment processor, be sure to include in the email and your Thank you or download page, the name that will be appearing on their credit card bills or receipts. Marketers lose lots of sales here because people usually do not remember doing business with the company and as a result, they request for a refund. So as much as possible, reduce the incident of refunds as this could hurt your business badly.

3. Include a frequently asked questions page. This is popularly known as an FAQ page. Address issues that are most prominent and important on this page. Research has shown that it is one of the top most visited pages on any website. The reason you want to do this is because you could easily lose lots of subscribers who may be trying to get to you only to have their mails either bounced or unreplied. This creates a feeling of being ripped off and results in immediatly asking for a refund of their payment. I have been a victim of this myself and I know how bad it feels to ask a simple question from the service provider only to wait for 2-3 months without getting answers. Most subscribers would have unsubscribed within one week of no reply resulting in a loss of sales. In some cases though, it is hard to answer all emails. Since you can’t answer phone calls or reply emails all day, you might want to hire an assistant to take care of all correspondence, questions and suggestions coming from your subscribers. This single act builds your credibility in the eyes of your subscribers. They come away with the feeling that there is really someone at the other end of their mails who cares enough to reply their mails.

How To Increase Your Conversion Rates In Email Marketing Campaign

So, you have built a list and have quite a number of loyal subscribers who are beginning to trust you and some have even bought your products and services or products you recommended. Great. But then, how do you increase your conversion rates? Like Mike Filsaime said at a point in time, “What is most important is not the sales we are making. It is the sales we are not getting”. So, how do you get to sell to those who have not bought and how do you induce your subscribers to buy more from you and not your competition?

There are various methods you could use. Some will get you results in the short term while others will be over a period of time.

1. Offer your subscribers high quality deals. If you are promoting a product, refuse to jump on the bandwagon as soon as the products start rolling in. There is a problem with internet marketers and it is the tendency to believe you can make so much more money from your subscribers because you think they trust you. I was going through some threads in a particular forum online and there was this product everyone was shouting about and promoting. One of the forum posters there said the most amazing thing. He said “I bought this product through the recommendation of someone I thought had my best interest at heart. I just found out during this process that it seems he obviously wanted to make some bucks off me. I guess they’re all the same”. Well, if that does not strike you, I don’t know what else will.

2. Send them gifts occasionally. Notice I said once in a while, not every day. Offering your subscribers a gift once in a while (once a month is OK) you’ll have them listening more to you because they get the impression that you have their interest at heart. Do not give them the everyday thing they get from everyone. Give them high quality gifts. It could be access to a membership site, a very valuable e-book, software, etc. You could also create a database of their birthdates so that they get a happy birthday greeting on their birthday. If you don’t know how it feels, think of when you were having your birthday and someone you never really knew sent you a birthday greetings card or message or actually called you up. Remember how you felt? That’s it. With just that singular act, you will have a lifetime customer. Remember marketing is not about how much money you make, it is about building relationships with people you value.

3. Create a contest. Let people participate in your contests. It gives a sense of community. Create contests to see who could generate the most referrals, who could give the best ideas etc. You get the idea. People like to be of help. They will willingly do all these things if you ask them nicely and back it up with valuable prizes. This single tactic has been responsible for increasing conversion rates by about 20%.

4. Give out discount coupons. This usually works like magic. Cody Moya does this a lot and his list grows bigger and he makes a lot more sales through this means. You could give a 50% discount. You could even go as far as 90%. People like discount offers. That’s why the keyword “discount coupons” is one of the most-searched-for keywords on the internet.

In summary,

1. Offer High Quality deals
2. Send them gifts with high-perceived value
3. Create Contests
4. Give out Discount coupons

Top 10 Tips for Using Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Pay-per-click advertising has completely revolutionized how advertising is done over the Internet. No longer must advertisers purchase banners or text link ads on sites for a flat rate per month, but with virtually no guaranteed results (not even a guarantee of a click); instead, they can purchase “pay per click” advertising through a massive contextual ad server service, such as Google Adwords.

Now, with this new ability to advertise effectively comes several responsibilities: in order to use it correctly, you must understand how it works. You can't simply purchase the top right corner of a site for a flat rate per month. Below, I've included 10 important tips for PPC advertising:

1.Actually browse through sites that serve your advertisements. Eliminate those that are low quality or that are likely to inflate the price of advertising by giving you too many clicks per 1000 views.

2.Remember to always determine whether or not it is cost effective to advertise on contextual ad networks; or whether you should restrict your pay-per-click advertisements to the search engine itself.

3. Use “day parting” features to determine when your advertisements will and wont be shown. If, for instance, you find that at certain times during the day, you get a lot of clicks, but none are serious buyers, you may want to remove your days from that period of time.

4. Use the statistics program on whichever pay-per-click advertising program you are using to determine the effectiveness of ads. If ads are not effective (or are too effective), replace them with something else.

5. Test and refine your ads until you have the best possible advertisement (i.e. one that pulls visitors, but not visitors that don't buy).

6.Determine how many clicks you can afford to pay for per sale. You should be able to mathematically determine the optimal price per click.

7. Use Google Adword's keyword tool feature to search for additional keywords to use in your campaigns. The more you have, the more traffic you will pull.

8. Remember to segment each campaign into a list of keywords and an advertisement that matches that list. The smaller the list of keywords, the more narrowly focused the advertisement can be, making it more effective

9. Remove keywords from your campaigns that are not cost effective. Many keywords will pull searches, but will end up decreasing your click through rate or not converting to sales after someone clicks through.

10. Use negative keywords to prevent freebie seekers from running up your click through count. For instance, get rid of keywords like “free” and “cheap,” unless your product is free or cheap.

Follow each of these ten tips carefully and you will find that using pay per click advertising isn't as hard as it may seem initially.
