3 Ways to Generate more Profits From Your Subscribers

It is easy to make money from your subscribers. Unfortunately, lots of email marketers are not getting much response.

The number one question asked by most email marketers is “How do I get more response from my lists?”

This question is about the easiest solved. It is just that people are always looking for the harder ways because they think “the harder the technique, the more profits I’ll make”. Wrong. Remember Occam’s razor? You would if you have read the One Minute Millionaire by Robert. G. Allen and Mark Victor Hansen.

It simply states that when you have varying solutions to a problem, the simplest solution is always the best. This is simple isn’t it? But most people think it is not possible. So they keep searching for the wrong solutions.

In this article, I’ll explain three simple steps that will increase the profits you make from your list(s).

1. Provide value. Don’t give your subscribers trash. Provide them with high quality content. The reason they subscribed to you is because you know something they don’t and they want to benefit from that. So, fill their needs.

While it is good to have a guest writer occasionally, let your voice be heard. Let people realise the import of what they are learning from you. Give them YOUR own tips, YOUR own advice. You have experience. Share it with them.

Make sure your content is practical. Think “what do I want them to do after reading this?” Your subscribers should be able to come away from the computer thinking about what you said and the possible applications.

If you keep offering them quality content, you are bound to have them waiting for your next edition. The reason subscribers unsubscribe from any list is because they are not getting any value from the marketer. So make it an important factor in your marketing.

You don’t have to send them emails daily. If you do it biweekly, weekly or monthly and offer high quality content, you are bound to get astonishing results.

2. Check to see if your subscribers get your mails. This can be done though it might entail an amount of work.

Simply send them an email and tell them to hit the reply button if they got the mail. This would give you an idea of how many are getting your mails compared to the number of people you sent it to. The idea behind this is simple.

Most marketers miss out a lot on the email campaigns because their subscribers are not getting their mails and therefore, they cannot make any money.

It is amazing but statistics have shown that about 10% of the total number of people on your list gets your mails. That leaves out 90%! Gross isn’t it?

3. Send offers. Obvious technique; few practitioners.

Marketers are usually scared they will lose their subscribers if they send them offers. Wrong. They subscribed because they felt they could get high value from you and trust you over time. If they can trust you, then it means you can provide them with high quality resources.

Over 90% are not exploring this avenue. So, if you want to increase your income, explore this avenue. This will put you on the top moneymaking 10%.

Let’s recap:

1. Provide value
2. Check to see they got our mails
3. Send them genuine practicable offers.

Practice these three techniques, and you are bound to smile more frequently to the bank.

Email Marketing - How To Write Your Own 5-7 Day Mini E-Course On Any Subject

It was once in style to claim that mailing lists no
longer worked. The opposite seems to be true now: on
every forum, marketers and business owners proclaim
the power of using an opt-in form and a newsletter to
make sales from follow-ups. I personally suggest this
method, as it has been proven time and time again to
produce higher conversion rates than attempts at
direct sales.

With that being said, it is important to determine
the best way in which you can create such a mini e-
course to use for your given products. I personally
suggest one of two ways.

Regardless of which you pick, you will want to start
with a market research phase. Your goal here is to
determine what it is exactly that potential readers
would be looking for in an e-course. If you already
have a site that receives traffic on this given topic
or niche, you will want to setup a poll or send out
surveys to your customer base. If not, you will have
to conduct keyword research to determine what people
are looking for most.

Once you have selected 5-7 topics for your e-course
(depending on the length you want your course to be),
you will then want to determine if you should create
the course yourself. Now, if you're unfamiliar with
the topic and do not feel comfortable with the quality
of your own writing, you will want to hire a
ghostwriter to complete the e-course for you. You can
do this by soliciting a skilled professional on
http://www.elance.com or http://www.guru.com. Clearly
describe what you want in the course and which sources
you would like them to use for reference information.
This will help you to determine whether or not they
are borrowing material directly from sources; it will
also ensure that you get exactly what you are looking
for.

Now, if you want to create your own e-course, you can
simply research the information on the given topic,
break it up into 5-7 articles; and then write those
articles yourself. Once you have completed those
steps, all you will have left to do is load the course
into your autoresponder, setup an opt-in form, and
then begin driving traffic to it.

When creating the course, there are a number of
important things to keep in mind. Perhaps most
important of all, you will want to determine how you
are going to monetize your e-course and whether or not
that method will be effective.

I personally suggest that you choose from one of
these forms of monetization:

1) put the actual course
on your site, send out links to it in emails, and put
Adsense ads in and around the course;

2) sell advertising space in the course;

3) scatter affiliate links throughout the course in appropriate
places; or

4) sell nothing throughout the entire course; at the
end of the course, attempt to upsell the reader with
some special offer.

Regardless of how much experience you have writing or
working with autoresponders, you can create an e-
course on any subject; and, in doing so, you can
drastically increase your conversion rates.

List Profits Secrets: How to Get Your Subscribers to Open Your Emails and Take Immediate Action. Part 2

In the first issue of these series on Email marketing techniques, we looked at the number 1 technique that you can use in creating magnetic headlines, bound to get your subscribers clicking through. In this second part, we’ll be looking at an equally important part of the whole:

I’ll teach how you to personally achieve those results. Getting your subscribers to click through and read your email is not just enough. Its good if they have a hint, which draws them in. But nothing, and I repeat nothing, sells faster and makes more impact than a “How I Did It” story.

Have you ever done something and had people asking you how you did it? This does not mean that you have to cook up a story. If you have not achieved those results, then in my opinion, do not bother to teach it. It would simply portray you as someone who does not “walk the talk”. If you absolutely have to do it, get someone who has done it themselves. Interview him and either get it transcribed into a PDF format or let subscribers download the call in mp3 format or on their IPods.

This simple procedure instills in your subscribers the confidence that if you can do it, they can too. Nothing speaks better than personal results. It works like magic. Because people are always asking questions like, “How did you make so many sales? How did you lose so much weight? How did you learn how to speak so well in public? How did you get to achieve so much in such a short period?”

You see, that’s why books and reports depicting “How I did so and so” sell like crazy. People want to tap from the direct knowledge source and experience. There is the assurance that the learning curve is faster and the mistakes can be avoided. If you’ve read Marlon Sander’s book on how she grossed over $500,000 in a year, you’ll see a typical example of this concept put to work. The reason her e-book sold was because of the first-hand experience and knowledge she was promising to give out.

Everyone desires results. That is why titles like “How I lost 20kg in 3 months”, “How I made $15,000 in 25 days”, “How I learned public speaking in 3 months” etc. will always be bestsellers and attention-grabbers. Everyone wants to not only hear success stories, but to see how it can be applied to their lives.

At least you can see that I really practice what I teach because you are still here. The title I used is what drew you in and is still what is keeping you reading. Learn how to use the power of personal experiences. If you do not have any, go get an experience or invite someone who has an experience to share it with you. Then share it with your subscribers. I have seen this particular method work like crazy and draw in so many sales.

In the last and final part, you’ll find the last straw that will get you floods of sales and responses from your email marketing campaigns.

Remember today’s lesson: Teach how you personally achieved results.

List Profits Secret 1. How to Get Your Subscribers to Open Your Emails and Take Immediate Action. Part 1

Hello there. Before you go ahead with reading this write-up, ask yourself “Why am I reading this article? Why did I click it open in the first place? Something compelled you; didn’t it? Guess what it is –The Headline.

Yeah that’s why you are reading this article. This seemingly simple step is one of the three you can use in grossly commanding your clients to open and read immediately. You know why? Because it offers the promise of a solution to their problems.

That brings us to key number 1 in email marketing techniques: Make your subject lines as compelling as possible. Not much of a secret, eh? But you would be amazed to know that not many internet marketers are using this seemingly simple method.

This factor alone can increase your subscriber-reading rate by over 70%. The rule is the same. If you want to catch people’s attention then pen something that will instantly grab their attention by using terrific psychological triggers.

If you’ve been around a while, you are aware that not all emails get read. I mean it is hard enough getting the thing through Spam filters to your subscribers’ inbox.

Even then, it might not get read. Yet there is a simple technique that you could use each and every time to conjure up wonderful attention-grabbing headlines. That’s the reason you are still reading this article. I got your attention long enough to compel you to click through. No hypnotic stuff here, just plain common sense.

Now, how do you get to write such attention-grabbing subject lines? See the end from the beginning. When I started with this article, the goal I had in mind was to teach how you could get your subscribers to click through your headlines. So, I had to ask myself “What do I want my reader to do?” “What do I want them to achieve?” Simple, eh? Yeah.

At the beginning of this article, you got the impression that there was something you needed to know. You realised you wanted to learn this and that’s the reason you are still reading this article. At the beginning, there was a hint of getting results with our email marketing campaigns –specifically getting almost everyone on your list to click through and read your emails.

That is simply what marketing and ad writing is all about. For example, let’s say you are selling shoes and you want your subscribers to buy the new foot cream or sweat-inhibiting foot powder in your stock. Sending them an email with the subject line: “Buy New Sweat Inhibiting Powder” will not get as many results as “How Do You Stop Your Feet from Smelling?” Now you see that is a unique question everyone who wears shoes is asking.

So you are attending to their innate needs by asking that question. Because it is a problem they need solved, you are bound to get higher clickthroughs and ultimately make more sales.

Another result-getting technique you can use is personalization. Instead of just including “Dear friend” or “Dear Subscriber”, you might want to personalize your emails. Most autoresponders now have the facility to do that.

All you have to do is automate it to send emails with subject lines starting with the subscribers’ firstname. For example, you could send an email with the title “[FIRSTNAME], here's how I build my list...” Personalizing your email is important as it promotes some form of cordiality. It enhances trust on the part of the subscriber and more importantly, singles your email out almost immediately making it stand out in the crowd.

Get your subscribers attention by piquing their curiosity. The ability to do this sets you apart from your competition. Marketers who have mastered this skill have always made money and gotten higher clickthroughs than their competition.

A subject line like “How I got 20,000 visitors in 7 days using just RSS feeds” will definitely grab your audience’s attention and trigger a psychological response making them think they could achieve the same if it is real and doable. The next thing they think after seeing that is “Really? Is that possible? Let me find out” and click. Your email opens before them.

In the next issue we’ll look at another very important aspect of generating higher subscriber results and clickthroughs. In the meantime, watch out for “List Profits Secret 1. How to Get Your Subscribers to Open Your Emails and Take Immediate Action. Part 2”.

Remember what today’s lesson is: Make your headlines as compelling as possible.

The Real Secrets To Choosing A Great Domain Name

Having trouble choosing a domain name? You'll discover how to choose a great domain name and how to avoid small mistakes which could cost you a lot of time and money.

There are many domain name registrars but I'd highly recommend you register with http://www.namecheap.com. They are the cheapest and most reliable. GoDaddy are popular but once a few people make complaints that you're "spamming" then that domain name will be kept hold by GoDaddy - They have complete control of your domain. This is where Namecheap.com stands out.

From my 3+ years of Internet Marketing experience, here are some of my best tips when choosing a domain name that is easy to remember, effective, catchy and basically - Great!

  • Your domain name should be your product/service name.
So for example, if your product is called XYZ Killer Secrets then your domain should be xyzkillersecrets.com. That way people will remember your site and product.

  • Avoid '-' dashes
Unless you have a good reason to use it. It's sometimes not easy to remember sites that have a '-' in them. Tell me, which one would look and sound better - www.xyzkillersecrets.com or www.xyz-killer-secrets.com ? How would you tell your friend face-to-face when they ask what your site is? xyzkillersecrets dot com or xyz DASH killer DASH secrets dot com?

  • Avoid funny domain extensions
such as .tv, .biz, .cc unless there is a good reason to. You wouldn't use a domain name such as www.xyzkillersecrets.com.au unless that product was meant to be seen by local users of Australia. You'd use .com.au if you have a pizza restaurant such as Jim's Pizza's or something.

  • Stick with the standard .COM. extension
Everybody knows what .COM is and it is by far the easiest to remember. If the domain that you want is taken with an extension of .COM then choose a different name. There are many combinations you can try out.

  • Keep it as short and simple
It is difficult to get a short domain name but just a rule of thumb - the shorter the better. The lesser words the better.

  • Make it catchy
Be a buddy of POWER WORDS. Power words are words such as "secrets", "killer", "Top", "Amazing". If you want to see a complete list of power words & phrases download my WebCopyWordsThatMakeYouRich.com. You'll get a rich amount of power words & phrases ('swipefiles') so if you're running out of words to use on your domain name then simply use this.

  • The power of 'uniqueness' & branding.
Uniqueness meaning that if your product was called xyz killer secrets you'd sure want to register for the .COM, .NET, .ORG and all the other popular domain extensions so you're the only person who has that name. It's also useful because if someone went to for example Logos2go.NET but your site was Logos2go.COM then that person would end up at a different site - not yours and you'll probably lose that potential customer.

Use these simple guidelines and you'll avoid making the painful mistakes of choosing the wrong domain. Follow these simple tips and you'll sure make people remember your site and what more -- it'll brand your site.

10 Reasons Not To Go Into The 'Make-Money' Market

There are a number good reasons why you should not go
into the “make money” market. Below, I will give you
ten of the more important reasons.

1. Your competition is highly skilled. If you think it
is easy to compete in the “make money” market, think
again. Your competition has mastered the art of
selling, which means he or she will be an extremely
tough competitor.

2. Other markets offer less resistance. The “make
money” market is highly oversatured with sellers. For
this reason, it is tough to claim decent positions on
search engines. This is not so with all niches.

3. The learning curve is high if you're inexperienced
selling “make money” products. Since your ability to
train people to sell will be directly dependent on
your ability to sell to them, many people will be
reluctant to buy from you unless your presentation is
far beyond average.

4. Even if you sell within the “make money” market,
your target audience should be small, not large. You
want to find a specific group that can be matched to a
specific product you will produce or have already
produced.

5. Other products are easier to market. When it comes
down to it, people are highly suspicious of any type
of “make money” product or service. If you're selling
something else to them, chances are that they will be
considerably less likely to worry that you are trying
to rip them off.

6. Buyers in the “make money” market may be more
likely to return products, as they perceive sellers to
have tricked them if they do not succeed in making
money with the product (which they usually don't, no
matter how good it is).

7. Buyers wont judge your product on how it “should
be” presented according to protocol that is normally
used for “make money” products. Instead, they will
look at the list of features you have provided.

8. You're better off in the long run if you pursue a
field in which you are interested, rather than simply
a “make money” field. If you don't have any serious
interest in your product, you will more than likely do
a poor job creating and marketin it.

9.Other markets can often be more profitable. Even
though you've heard about those million dollar days,
there are other industries which can be just as
profitable, provided that you spend the time to select
the right one and to cultivate profits.

10. If you don't have a background in “making money”
with some specific system, you may be better off
creating a book or product on some area in which you
have specific expertise.

To reiterate, there are many business models you can
create; however, a business model that caters to the
“make money” crowd is almost always a mistake.

The Biggest Mistake My Friend Made When Publishing His Ebook

Imagine publishing an ebook only to learn that you’re making no
sales, no traffic to your website and no profits.
How depressing will that be…

A while ago my friend, just finished writing and
publishing his new ebook called “How To Be A Good
Retail Worker”. He has no problems with writing an ebook.
He knew how to write, he knew how to organize his
work into a structured way. But he had one problem -
He couldn’t sell it in the end! Why? Because he failed
to see how big the demand was for information on Retail working work.
He didn’t research before he published his finished ebook. He lost hope and
didn’t have any confidence anymore. He was assuming people
will buy his book and he was hoping that a lot of people were
looking for information about this subject. He failed miserably!

To be frank, without doing your “research” you’ll go no where
with your ebook venture. You’ll be brain dead and you’ll
be like a blind man going no where but the wall in front of him.

Without researching before hand you’ll:
- Waste a lot of your time (and time = money).
- End up having no hope and momentum.
- Wonder if you’re ebook will ever sell or not.
- You’ll need to guess and hope a lot. Hope, hope & hope.

Most people fail to do their research FIRST before they write
their ebook because they think that it will sell good. They
hope in wonders that it’ll sell like the best ebook anyone
has seen. They think that they’ll “get rich overnight”.
Listen, just because you’ve got good knowledge about a certain
topic, it doesn’t mean that it will sell! (Sorry if you
studied ten years on that subject)

To check and see how many people are actually looking for that
topic, search that topic in your favourite search engine
such as Yahoo.com. Just for an example you can search a
topic about “How to make money”. You’ll literally get over
3.7 billion results. Do you think that this “product”
will even sell? Look at the competition it has. The
business sector makes up most of the population of all
subjects.

So my point here is that you need to create a product that
either no one has or create a product better than your
competitors. You can create an ebook based on a niche
market.

If you do your research on the topic of your ebook, you’ll
benefit immensely because:

- You’ll know your competition & how large it is before hand.
- You’ll know if people will even buy your ebook.
- You’ll know how much to sell it for because you can
compare prices with your competitors.
- It’ll save you a massive amount of time.
- You’ll have more confidence in writing the ebook because
you’re absolutely certain that it will be a “winning product”.

There are many tools and resources that offer you to research
hot markets.
Three tools I personally use to find hot markets include:

- Keyword suggestion tools – Such as Overture’s keyword
suggestion tool.

- Hidden tools that not many people make use of
If you want to find very niche markets try looking at Ebay’s
categories such as Books & Comics > Business > Ebooks.
One other “hidden” tool that not many people us is eBay’s “Pulse”.
This tool will show you the top 10 keywords
searched on ebay. You will find this tool on the homepage,
called “eBay Pulse”.

- Forums – Take a look at the forum that relates to your
topic. If your subject has something to do with weight
loss then search “weight loss forums” in your search
engine. You’ll find a lot of people posting their
questions and problems.

- Surveys & Questionaries - If you have an opt-in list why
don’t you survey your list about the topic? Ask them what
is the biggest problem in __________.

The biggest tip I can give you is to take baby steps. Get
those “small ideas” that you had a long time ago and work
on that first. So then you can make “achievable goals” not
a huge project which would take a lot of time and money.

So if you really want to learn how to sell and profit from y
our ebooks and I’m stressing this out – It is highly
imperative, important & crucial that you do your research
of your market FIRST before you even type/write a single
letter or word on your text editor/notepad. You’ll then
cut the guess work.

How To Promote Your Products and Profit Massively from Them. Part 1

So you have created that product and are sure it is a winner but you do not know how to go about getting it in public glare because of the fact that you are short on cash and are on a very tight budget.

We can agree that product promotion is one of the toughest nuts to crack online. Many people have rolled out wonderful products and services but never saw it take off like they thought it would because they either did not do their research properly before launching the product or they do not have adequate information with regards to product marketing.

There are various methods that are involved in promoting your products. While some of them entail spending money, others entail using your head to think out what steps to take and what to do.

1. If you have a list(s), send an email to them announcing the launch of your products and services.

If you have been able to sell to their lists, you should by now, be able to identify which lists and subscribers are always ready buyers. Hence, it is important that you separate the consistent buyers from the others.

These are the first people you want to send an email to as they are always willing to buy from you. Then, you can then send to the other subscribers on the list. This creates a buzz.

If you do not know how to separate the buyers from the other subscribers, simply look at the history of payments compiled by your payment processors and separate them from the others.

There are softwares that you can use in comparing both lists so that you delete their names and emails from the list of those who are not consistent buyers.

2. Get in touch with your joint venture partners. These partners are extremely important in the success of any business particularly when it is online.

You have people who have highly populated lists of over 30,000. If you do business with just 10 like that, it will start a steady traffic that may culminate in over three hundred thousand visitors in a space of just one week.

If you are new to joint venturing, it would be best that you offer those you want to joint venture with a larger share of the sales which could sometimes be as much as 90%.

Don’t be scared of this figure, as you’ll recoup it in the long term. All you need do is make sure that so many of the subscribers subscribe to your ezine, ecourse or newsletter. This would give you the opportunity to make money from them later on.

The reason this method is effective is because of the level of trust your subscribers have for the person you want to joint venture with. In short, what you have is a ready crowd of people willing to buy from you as long you come through the person they know.

It is like when a relative of your uses a particular product that is highly beneficial. If she recommended the product to you, there is a higher tendency that you’ll buy because you have seen the results and trust what she is saying.

Wrong.

You don’t have to send them emails daily. If you do it biweekly, weekly or monthly and offer high quality content, you are bound to get astonishing results.

2. Check to see if your subscribers get your mails. This can be done though it might entail an amount of work.

7 Ways To Generate Free Website Traffic

Generating free traffic is not always the impossible
feat that it is made out to be. In fact, there are
many different ways in which you can generate free
traffic. Some are better than others; and some are
especially effective in some niches, but not in
others. Below, I've listed seven such methods:

1. Write articles and submit them to directories.
Include a link in your resource box that points to
your site. This will generate traffic and click
throughs long after you publish it.

2. Add “keyword” pages to your site. You can do this
by writing articles that are focused around a certain
keyword and then simply uploading them to your site.
When your site is indexed by the search engines,
traffic will pick up for those keywords.

3. Begin finding link partners and exchanging links.
This will not only get you direct click through
traffic from other sites, but it will also get you
search engine traffic once those sites are indexed and
your site is given credit for the inbound links.

4. Create a high-quality flash video or real life
video; add it to a page on your site. Post that video
on You Tube, Break.com, and on all social bookmarking
sites, such as http://del.icio.us, and
http://www.technorati.com. If your video is
exceptionally funny or interesting, people will begin
to circulate your video around the Internet. Remember
to include the URL of your site in the video, so
viewers can figure out how to find your products.

5. Create a free report on a specific subject related
to your business. In that report, include a link to
your site (preferably a newsletter opt-in form) every
few pages. Take that report and give it away for free
to every site owner in your niche. If you have a link
to one of your products in that report, allow the site
owner to rebrand it. That will make him much more
likely to redistribute it.

6. Post regularly on forums related to your site.
This is perhaps the easiest and quickest way to
generate traffic. All it entails is creating an
account on several good forums, making useful and
interesting posts, and then including a signature file
that allows readers to click through to your site.

7. Post free ads in places that actually get traffic.
Using “free ad forums” may be a waste of time in many
instances; however, bulletin boards that get traffic,
but allow free advertisement, may be a good place to
