How to Write Powerful Sales Headlines

The most important part of any sales letter is the sales headline. You can have the best testimonials, the best income statements, and the best sales copy known to man, but none of this will matter if visitors aren't convinced and intrigued by your headline; and simply click off of your sales letter, instead of reading on to learn more.

For this reason, it is absolutely imperative that you learn how to write powerful sales headlines if you want to round out a powerful sales letter.

So what does a powerful sales headline include?

A powerful sales headline must include a number of different “psychological triggers.” These are words that have been proven time and time again to stir up emotion by triggering some widely-attached connotation to a word or phrase. “Free,” “shocking,” “scientifically proven,” “powerful,” and “secret” are all examples of psychological triggers. Including at least a few in your headline will catch readers' eyes, even if they're only skimming initially.

Now, in addition to including psychological triggers, you will want to make sure that you have some type of interesting conceptual hook in your sales headline. For instance, if there is some specific feature of your product that no other sellers in your market offer, you will want to make sure that you work that into your headline.

You will also want to find some way you can intrigue people into reading more, even beyond conveying a point of interest, couched in psychological triggers. For instance, you may want to say something mysterious or make some bold claim. This will bait people to read more, if only to find out if you're serious or gimmicky.

Remember, too, to keep in mind that your headline will need to match up with the rest of your sales letter. Don't simply make a claim in your sales headline and then slowly diminish it over the course of your sales letter. Instead, find some way in which you can make a powerful headline that matches up with the content that is about to follow. One way in which you can do this is to setup a pyramidal structure for your sales letter. Start off with your most powerful point in your headline – and then slowly scale down, including points that are of less interest. Those who have the least resistance to buying will purchase instantly; those who have more resistance will probably need to go through all of the points.

Last, when writing powerful headlines, always remember to test before launches to determine which headline works best. You can do this by creating two sales pages and testing the conversion rate with a pay per click campaign. Remember to only change one word or one phrase at a time, so you can clearly identify what increases or decreases your conversion rate.

Email Marketing 101 - A General Overview of Email Marketing and Its Benefits

Email marketing is it. These days, just about every profession and industry has an email marketing campaign. What is the thing with email marketing? Why is everyone exploiting the seemingly cheap opportunity of advertising?

Recent estimates have shown that email marketing is one of the cheapest forms of advertising that has ever existed. Next to "word of mouth" which has an intensely exponential viral effect, email marketing take sits in its rightful place.

Almost everyone has an email these days. What is the cost of the email? Sometimes, nothing. Currently, over 186 million people have email addresses in the United States and an estimated 1.2 billion worldwide. This means that approximately one in every six people on earth has an email.

The potentials of email marketing are staggering. Never in the history of mankind has such an avenue to sell and market one's products to a huge audience presented itself as it has this time. As a result, people are harnessing the potentials of email marketing which is still growing. The benefits of email marketing are astounding.

1. With email marketing, the whole world is in a matter of speaking available with just a touch of the button. You can sell your products services, consultancy to so many people across the globe.

2. Clients and customers are no longer restricted to a specific geographic location as the market now exceeds all boundaries. You can be in one corner of your room in Fiji Island and send an offer to someone in faraway Iceland. People outside a geographical territory can benefit from the goodies previously restricted to that territory. For instance, it was hard to get someone in the Bahamas to see your adverts. Now, all you have to do is send them an email.

3. The cost of email marketing is far below any current advertising cost. You get feedback as quickly as two days after your first message is sent out. Unlike the snail mail that takes about six weeks to process, your feedback and orders can start pouring in almost immediately after the mail is sent out. In direct mail marketing, it costs between $6 and $8 -depending on the destination- to get your adverts across to your clients and prospective customers. But with email marketing, it costs less than $1.2 to get it across.

4. It is easier to meet and exceed sales targets in less than half the period it used to take. For instance, Robert Allen who is the major "proponent" of the Nothing Down method used these days in Real estate and Co-author of the One Minute Millionaire Bestseller, stunned the world when he said he was going to gross $24000 in just 24 hrs. The Press obviously thought it was a big joke when he set out with nothing more than $100 in his pocket on that Fortune-filled day. To cut the long story short, he not only exceeded that target, he made almost four times the stipulated target -grossing in total over $90000 in 24 hrs! The secret? He sent an email to his subscribers –some of whom were not residents of the United States- with an irresistible offer who bought the products from him in 24 short hours. The potential of email marketing is still being exploited. As time passes by, there will be more innovations in this aspect of advertising campaigns.

Top 5 Ways to Promote and Market an Affiliate Program

Marketing affiliate products can be challenging if you don’t know what to do and how to go about the marketing. There are various methods via which you can get an affiliate product in the face of people. But in this article, we’ll be examining the top five methods that you can use in promoting affiliate products.

1. Marketing to a list.

It is imperative that every marketer build a list. Why? Because the money is in the list. Anything short of that is less than spectacular. Marketing to an “opt-in” list built by you almost always generates lots of money on affiliate products. To do this effectively, all you need to do is create an avenue where you can consistently send your subscribers an email with offers. The list is about the best source of marketing because the subscribers trust you –if you have been offering high quality information and recommending reputable products- and know that what you offer them is of high value. Remember the “no lesson today” method we talked about in a particular edition, this is where you can utilise the method effectively. You can just decide to take one day off every week to make them these offers.

2. Use Pay per click methods.

Using PPC methods effectively entails just two things: Doing proper keyword research and bidding reasonably. PPC search engines ask you to pay a preset amount for every click you generate. The good thing about using pay per click Programs such as Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MSN Adcenter is you get highly targeted traffic. Only those who are searching for your products get to see them. For instance, if I am looking for Shoes of size 43 to buy and I type that keyword into the google search bar, I will get results that are tailored towards that search. So, the only listings I will see will be those related to shoes. Now, if someone –an affiliate of a shoe merchant- places an ad about the various shoes sizes, I will definitely check out his website. If I like what I see, I could decide to buy from him. Do you get the idea? To use this method well, learn how to research your keywords properly so that you won’t run at a loss.

3. Use Ezine and newsletter ads.

Most affiliate programs provide you with material that you can send as solo ad or top sponsor ads. All you need do is buy an adspace in any of the ezines that catch your fancy and have them send the offer to their subscribers. If your letter is well crafted, [people have been known to make lots of dough from this method. You could also use this method to just generate a flurry of traffic to your landing page where people will sign up for more information or an ecourse that you would have programmed your autoresponder to send out on a daily basis. In this ecourse, they’ll read the information and then go ahead to visit the recommended link (your affiliate link). That way you could also make lots of sales.

4. Distribute Viral reports.

These are reports that different people can pass on to their friends to read. All you need do is fill it with information that is extremely relevant, include your affiliate links in the reports and have give people the permission to give it away as long as the content is not tampered with. This also generates lots of results not to mention profits as it spreads like wildfire all over the internet.

5. Article Writing.

Write articles that are tailored to the products and services you intend to sell, and post on various article directories. Most article directories have categories for almost anything on the surface of the earth. From UFOs to Astrology to Wizardry to Xmas Celebrations. Write your articles; create a compelling byline with the affiliate link lading to the destination page. If you want to mask the link, you can either create a redirect or use link shrinking services such as tunyurl.com, snipurl.com, Gentleurl.com. To test how effective this method is, write just 5 articles on a topic, post in five different article directories then wait to see the results. If you are satisfied with it, then you might want to incorporate it into your overall marketing strategy.

How to Start Your Own Affiliate Program

If you have the intention of creating a product, it will be best to include among your strategies, effective marketing techniques that will quickly get word about your products and services out and all over the internet. An effective way of doing this is creating an affiliate program where, for a commission, people can help you advertise your products and services. You do not have to pay them until they make a sale for you.

There are quite a few ways you can go about creating an affiliate program. Quite a few internet marketers use third party payment processors. These are websites that stand as a go-between for merchants and prospective clients. You could either decide to let these websites do the setting up of your affiliate program for you in the sense that all they would do is list your products under the list of products that can be promoted by affiliates, they manage and track all transactions, and make the payouts. All you get at the end of a month is the amount of money after your affiliates have been paid.

The reason this approach is good is because the marketer has saved a lot of stress and can go ahead to face the building of his business instead of spending countless hours processing orders, and sending the customers their products and services. But if you decide you want to go it alone, there are various ways you can create your own affiliate program.

1. Create a webpage for the affiliates. This webpage is separate from the main sales page. In this page, you’ll have to tell them why they should sell your products and not those of many other people. In most cases, including how much you are willing to part with per sale is usually good enough. The rounds making the internet now is if the commission is less than 50%, avoid it like a plague. I have personally seen commissions in the excess of 70%. Usually, most affiliates do not go beyond this stage. Once they’ve seen how much you are willing to offer them, they make up their minds on whether to promote your products or not. Notwithstanding, create a page outlining all the benefits of selling your products. Most experienced marketers know that it is not just the selling that matters. The quality of the product is also highly essential.

2. Create various tools of marketing. Create email ads that have been tested and proven reliable and highly converting, create solo ads templates, ezine ads templates. This cuts the learning curve drastically. So, instead of the affiliate marketer having to come up with his own email ad, you’d have created it for him. So, all he does is copy and paste, and he’s ready to blast his ads.

3. Create Banners and text link ads. Hire a graphic designer to create your banners for you. While it’s been recently stated that banner ads don’t do well, some have been converting well. Those banners known to convert well are those that are pleasing to the eye, and not placed in an intrusive position on the webpage.

4. Create a list of keywords your affiliates can bid on if they want to use pay per click ads. Do as much keyword research as possible. Gather as many keywords that are relevant as possible. Many merchants just look for any keyword regardless of its relevance and put them in a list. This method is wrong. Why? Because if you have a newbie who just wants to make money, he might believe all the research has been done for him. So, he goes ahead to use the untargeted keywords. What occurs in summary is he loses money and makes up his mind to never promote your products again. Get the picture now? You want to build a team; not a set of loosely coordinated fellows.

5. Create a resources area for those want to learn. Include links to both free and paid resources they could learn from. Offer tips and tricks that could help boost sales and overall results.

Kick Starting Your Newsletter

You are just a click away from contact with your clients and prospects by e-newsletter. The savings in postage, printing and sorting for the post office is nothing short of wonderful. And by adding photos and images, your newsletter is a full color, graphically enhanced image of your business with a fraction of the time that paper newsletters require.

Elegant graphics are great, but newsletters are all about NEWS. Make your newsletter a "must read" in everyone's crowded email box by presenting exciting, interesting and boldly presented information.

The Not-So-Hot Newsletter is filled with

* boring product descriptions
* long, rambling paragraphs as dense as a forest
* poor quality photos, without cropping or enhancements
* selling features instead of benefits
* grammar and spelling errors
* sloppy formatting
* "all about me" attitude makes clients wonder how important they are

The Must-Read Newsletter is known to contain:

* brief, dazzling product descriptions that leave the reader wanting to know more
* crisp writing in conversational style
* high quality digital photos
* additional ideas that clients find interesting
* special offers that can only be found by reading the newsletter
* creative ways to use the product or service
* interaction with clients through question/answer column

From this comparison, you can see that an effective e-newsletter starts with planning. A tired and true place to start is to answer the classic news reporter’s questions: who, what, when, where, how, why.

Who is the audience for your e-newsletter? Set up specific criteria for the gender, age, income, interest or other qualities that define your target reader. Knowing these demographics of your reader makes preparing the e-newsletter so much easier.

What is the purpose of your e-newsletter? Your newsletter can sell, inform, take a political or social stand, incite discussion, share hobbies or define you as an expert in your field.

When will you send the newsletter? Preparing a polished newsletter takes time, especially if this is new for you. Start with monthly. Before you take on a weekly newsletter, get in the flow of twice monthly and see if it meets the need. Whatever frequency you choose, let your readers know and be faithful to the promised dates.

Where will you find readers for your e-newsletter? You want to add to your client base by connecting with others online who have similar interests. That means advertising, blogging, sharing mail lists, affiliate links or any means reasonable to find new readers from other sources.

How can you get your newsletter prepared with highest quality? Remember you can find writers, graphic designers and other support services locally or online. You don't need to be a Lone Ranger. Help is available at a wide range of prices.

Why do you need a newsletter? Maybe this needs to be the first question. Don't do it because your competition does. Make your e-newsletter an important communication tool that is as informative and comfortable as chatting with a friend over coffee.

Top 5 Mistakes People Make In Email Marketing - Part 2

In the last issue, we looked at one of the mistakes most people make in email marketing. In this edition, we’ll be looking at the last four mistakes most marketers, service providers and product creators make. In this article I must emphasize that you will get both the mistakes and the solutions. Do not just know them. Do them. I repeat; Do them. They could literally save your campaign and not only put more money in your pocket than you could have ever thought; it will create for you, a loyal following of customers and clients who trust you.

1. Bombarding your subscribers with the Buy Immediately cliché. Marketers are always looking for ways to make more money. This is a good thing in itself. But when you are dealing with your clients, it is best to not go overboard. The reason most clients sign up with your newsletter, ezine or your opt-in list is because they think you could offer them pure value. So, if you deviate from this path –providing high quality information- you are bound to lose quite a number of them and it can be hard to gain their trust again. If you used the tell-a-friend method of promotion, you are bound to have a community of friends on your list and as word-of-mouth form of advertising is the fastest means to get the word out, so also is it the quickest way to lose your subscribers. So, offer high quality information. Give them valuable nuggets. This singular tactic is responsible for needless losses in millions of dollars online. Avoid this by all means by providing high quality write ups and content.

2. Sending emails too frequently. Your customers are not robots without emotions. Unnecessarily flooding their inbox with adverts of various products in the name of email marketing will get you off their list of information providers even when you offer good information. Recent research has shown that people who use their emails frequently are attached emotionally to them. So, cluttering their inbox with repeated ads, will seem like cluttering up their homes –and you know how that feels. If you must send an email twice a day, you must have a darn good reason handy as doing otherwise is sure to hurt your email marketing campaigns.

3. Not replying to emails. Many marketers are guilty of this. There may be a legit reason like being too busy or swamped with tasks for this. While that is acceptable, you should realise that genuine customers may really need more information or clarification from you as regards your products, recommendations, or just need plain advice. Always make time for your clients, as this is very important in your email marketing campaigns. It bridges the gap between you and them. It bolsters the business relationship you might have created with them. If you are too swamped, delegate the job. Get a secretary or someone to attend to your mails frequently. It would not cost much to do this. At least you are sure to keep your clients satisfied and loyal and ultimately, make more money through email marketing.

4. Not creating emails in HTML, text, or PDF formats. You newsletter or ezine is an important part of your email marketing campaign. According to Email Labs a company specializing in email marketing research, less than 20% read their emails in HTML format. According to this research, over 65% say they prefer their email messages in either text or PDF formats. Does that mean anything? Do not create just one format. It won’t cost you much to create them in the said three formats. With this alone, you’ll have covered the whole market and given your subscribers options to read your message.

Top 5 Mistakes People Make In Email Marketing - Part 1

The advent of the internet has made communication so much simpler than it would have been without it. It is easier to get the message out on your products, services or company. The speed of information that the internet provides is simply astonishing. Because of the ease of use of the internet, the average individual has an email address enabling him to contact anyone across the globe with just a few keyboard punches. The marketing sector has cashed in on this unique opportunity and is using email marketing to get the message out about their products, services and company.

Unfortunately though, people are not putting as much effort as they should into their email marketing efforts and campaigns. The attention given to direct mail or a press release in the news media is far higher than what is given to mail marketing.

If you are using the internet as a means of marketing, you should know that you are not dealing with robots. You are dealing with real people in a real world who have as much tendency to ignore your ads as they would in reality. Exploring the full potentials of email marketing is still far away. People make certain mistakes in the use of email marketing as a means of getting the word out on their products and services. To be very successful in your email marketing campaigns, it is advisable that you avoid making certain mistakes which seem to abound everywhere on the internet. If you are desirous of tremendous results, and want to get on the exclusive 2.1% of people who are making tons of money from their email marketing campaigns, there is need to focus on the seemingly little things.

I have always been a proponent of watching for the little things. It is those really small things that can either make or mar an individual. Companies make elaborate plans on email marketing campaigns. They get the best software, buy or build the list et.c but leave out the very important things such as email format and so on. To avoid unnecessary losses, try not to tow these steps:

Sending your clients poorly written offers. Unfortunately, even the big guys are guilty of this act. I am a subscriber to various ezines and newsletters online and have found that even among the so-called gurus, there is always one who makes the same mistake. What happens when you send poorly-written emails containing your offers is a huge loss of sales. Imagine what it would be like if Wal-Mart’s adverts were poorly written. Imagine how much sales McDonald's could lose because of poorly written emails. Treat your customers like kings and queens. Prepare well-crafted offers for them. The subconscious mind picks up these things. For instance, you'll find you hardly notice things when they are perfect. But once something is amiss, or wrong about that thing, you automatically notice it. So it is with email marketing. Your offers have to be crafted so well that even your clients will be very impressed.

In the next issue, we’ll be examining the four remaining mistakes made by marketers in email marketing. Please stay tuned.

Top 10 Tips for Using Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Pay-per-click advertising has completely revolutionized how advertising is done over the Internet. No longer must advertisers purchase banners or text link ads on sites for a flat rate per month, but with virtually no guaranteed results (not even a guarantee of a click); instead, they can purchase “pay per click” advertising through a massive contextual ad server service, such as Google Adwords.

Now, with this new ability to advertise effectively comes several responsibilities: in order to use it correctly, you must understand how it works. You can't simply purchase the top right corner of a site for a flat rate per month. Below, I've included 10 important tips for PPC advertising:

1.Actually browse through sites that serve your advertisements. Eliminate those that are low quality or that are likely to inflate the price of advertising by giving you too many clicks per 1000 views.

2.Remember to always determine whether or not it is cost effective to advertise on contextual ad networks; or whether you should restrict your pay-per-click advertisements to the search engine itself.

3. Use “day parting” features to determine when your advertisements will and wont be shown. If, for instance, you find that at certain times during the day, you get a lot of clicks, but none are serious buyers, you may want to remove your days from that period of time.

4. Use the statistics program on whichever pay-per-click advertising program you are using to determine the effectiveness of ads. If ads are not effective (or are too effective), replace them with something else.

5. Test and refine your ads until you have the best possible advertisement (i.e. one that pulls visitors, but not visitors that don't buy).

6.Determine how many clicks you can afford to pay for per sale. You should be able to mathematically determine the optimal price per click.

7. Use Google Adword's keyword tool feature to search for additional keywords to use in your campaigns. The more you have, the more traffic you will pull.

8. Remember to segment each campaign into a list of keywords and an advertisement that matches that list. The smaller the list of keywords, the more narrowly focused the advertisement can be, making it more effective

9. Remove keywords from your campaigns that are not cost effective. Many keywords will pull searches, but will end up decreasing your click through rate or not converting to sales after someone clicks through.

10. Use negative keywords to prevent freebie seekers from running up your click through count. For instance, get rid of keywords like “free” and “cheap,” unless your product is free or cheap.

Follow each of these ten tips carefully and you will find that using pay per click advertising isn't as hard as it may seem initially.

The Real Secrets To Choosing A Great Domain Name

Having trouble choosing a domain name? You'll discover how to choose a great domain name and how to avoid small mistakes which could cost you a lot of time and money.

There are many domain name registrars but I'd highly recommend you register with http://www.namecheap.com. They are the cheapest and most reliable. GoDaddy are popular but once a few people make complaints that you're "spamming" then that domain name will be kept hold by GoDaddy - They have complete control of your domain. This is where Namecheap.com stands out.

From my 3+ years of Internet Marketing experience, here are some of my best tips when choosing a domain name that is easy to remember, effective, catchy and basically - Great!

  • Your domain name should be your product/service name.
So for example, if your product is called XYZ Killer Secrets then your domain should be xyzkillersecrets.com. That way people will remember your site and product.

  • Avoid '-' dashes
Unless you have a good reason to use it. It's sometimes not easy to remember sites that have a '-' in them. Tell me, which one would look and sound better - www.xyzkillersecrets.com or www.xyz-killer-secrets.com ? How would you tell your friend face-to-face when they ask what your site is? xyzkillersecrets dot com or xyz DASH killer DASH secrets dot com?

  • Avoid funny domain extensions
such as .tv, .biz, .cc unless there is a good reason to. You wouldn't use a domain name such as www.xyzkillersecrets.com.au unless that product was meant to be seen by local users of Australia. You'd use .com.au if you have a pizza restaurant such as Jim's Pizza's or something.

  • Stick with the standard .COM. extension
Everybody knows what .COM is and it is by far the easiest to remember. If the domain that you want is taken with an extension of .COM then choose a different name. There are many combinations you can try out.

  • Keep it as short and simple
It is difficult to get a short domain name but just a rule of thumb - the shorter the better. The lesser words the better.

  • Make it catchy
Be a buddy of POWER WORDS. Power words are words such as "secrets", "killer", "Top", "Amazing". If you want to see a complete list of power words & phrases download my WebCopyWordsThatMakeYouRich.com. You'll get a rich amount of power words & phrases ('swipefiles') so if you're running out of words to use on your domain name then simply use this.

  • The power of 'uniqueness' & branding.
Uniqueness meaning that if your product was called xyz killer secrets you'd sure want to register for the .COM, .NET, .ORG and all the other popular domain extensions so you're the only person who has that name. It's also useful because if someone went to for example Logos2go.NET but your site was Logos2go.COM then that person would end up at a different site - not yours and you'll probably lose that potential customer.

Use these simple guidelines and you'll avoid making the painful mistakes of choosing the wrong domain. Follow these simple tips and you'll sure make people remember your site and what more -- it'll brand your site.

How To Convert Site Visitors Into Subscribers

When a person visits your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will never come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget where we were 10 web pages ago.How many times can you exactly get unique visitors that stays and eventually subscribes?

Bottom line is, your visitors may not come back to your website again. If you get 1,000 visitors to visit your website, wholeaves and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. These site visitors can accumulate and imagine how much profits were lost in the long run. You could have converted a fraction of that visitors into your customers.

Some may say that creating unique content can keep some of the visitors coming back, but very often, unique content is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers of your mailing list.

Before your visitor leaves your website, you want to convert him or her into your subscriber via a simple opt-in to your mailing list. You do this by asking for your visitor’s name and email address through your opt-in form.

And if your visitor signs up to be on your mailing list, you can still follow up with him via email. You can get your subscriber to consider your offer, or endorse another offer to him or her.

All in all, you want to convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible and obtain the potential revenue you rightfully deserve – the easy, wise way. So, do it now or risk losing more potential sales in the future.

How To Generate Traffic Using Only Free Methods

Putting up a company would of course require a lot of things, to get straight to the point, you need a capital. To make money requires money as well. But of course, with the versatility the internet offers, there are many ways you could find that could help optimize the potential of your site or business in generating traffic.

While there are ways to jumpstart your traffic flows, many sites don’t have the resources that others have to generate more traffic for your site. Well, you don’t have to spend a cent; all you need is the proper mindset and a lot of eagerness. You also must have the drive and perseverance to do hard work and research to generate more traffic for your site.

How sweet it is to have more traffic for your site without spending a single cent. Now it’s a sure thing that many sites have articles that offer tips and guidelines in how to generate traffic using only free methods. Because it is possible, you don’t need to speed a single cent, it may take time, to say honestly, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you. You get better chances by paying for your advertisements, but at least you get a fighting chance with some of these free methods I’m about to tell you.

Take advantage of online forums and online communities. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer. Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared.

With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.

You can also make use of newsletters. Provide people with a catalog of your products and interesting and entertaining articles. If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people. The more people who signs up for your newsletter, the more people there will be that will go to your site increasing your traffic.

Another great idea is trading links with other sites. You don’t have to spend a cent. All you have to do is reach an agreement with another webmaster. With exchanging links, the efforts both sites do will benefit both sites. Every traffic that goes to the site could potentially click on the link of your site and visit your site as well. This works well especially when both sites feature the same niche.

Write articles that could pique the attention of people that have interest in your product. Try writing articles that will provide tips and guides to other aficionados. Writing articles that provide good service and knowledge to other people would provide the necessary mileage your traffic flow needs.

Many sites offer free submission and posting of your articles. When people find interest in your articles they have a good chance of following the track by finding out where the article originated. Include a link or a brief description of your company with the article and there’s a great probability that they will go to your site.

Write good content for your site. Many search engines track down the keywords and keyword phrases your site uses and how they are used. It is not a requirement that a content should be done by a professional content writer. You could do your on but you have to make content for your site that is entertaining as well as informational. How To Build A List Of Eager Subscribers

Every online business provides great service to generate satisfaction among their customers. As each and every customer receives satisfaction over their products or the services they get, there is a great chance that they will become a return customer and buy again. Better yet, they will recommend you to other people that could generate more business for you and your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you can entice many of them to subscribe to your mailing list or opt-in list. This is a list where in website visitors agree to be sent promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and such that could keep them updated about your site or the niche of your site. These promotional materials are sent via e-mail to the members of the list in different time intervals.

When using e-mail as the media of your marketing and advertisements, you eliminate the need for high costs. Email is free and if you can manage to make your own promotional advertisements you can also save a bundle there. With an opt-in subscribers list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by the subscribers and not simply being deleted. They have signed up for service and have consented in receiving it.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your products, new products and services as well as any promotions and special deals you are having. There is also the chance that they can be forwarded to other potential customers as they tell their friends and families about you and your site.

Of course you should be also aware that a subscriber may unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they want or expected. Make sure that they are satisfied with your opt-in marketing strategies and keep them excited in receiving your newsletters and catalogs. Here are some tips that can help you build a list of eager subscribers.

Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but not too over artsy. Build around what your product or service is about. For example; if you are selling car parts, put some pictures of what is new in the auto parts world, a new wing door possibly that can fit any car and make it look like a Lamborghini.

Try to research what people are looking for, these way, you stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be their bearer of new tidings. They will be eager to receive what you are sending them because they new you always have fresh and new things to share with them.

Write good articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your site by clicking the links that you will be putting on your newsletter to read some more. You can provide articles that can connect to many people. Be diverse in your articles. Put something humorous, then put something informational, then put something that has both.

Are you wary about this because you don’t like writing? No problem, there are many professional and experienced article writers that can do the job for you for minimal fees. They know what they are doing and can provide the need that you have for your newsletters, the money that you pay for your articles are going to be met by the many sign-ups and the potential profit from the sales that you will get.

Create and send an E-book to your customers about anything that is related to your business or site. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field you have chosen to help other people who are similarly interested. Offer this e-book for free. You can write about anything informational and helpful to your subscribers. For example; you can do manuals and guides in so many things. This e-book could be used as a reference for many people.

Share this e-book with everyone, even other sites; just make sure that they don’t change the links in the e-book that will lead people to your site. If you want, you can always get some people to write it for you just like your articles. Your investment once again will be covered by the great marketing this will generate.

Add e-coupons in your newsletters that will help them avail to special discounts. Put a control number in your e-coupon so that they can only be used once. When people get discounts that can be found in your newsletters, they will be eager to receive your newsletter in anticipation of what you are promoting next.

If your subscribers can get benefits from your newsletters, they will be very eager to receive them. Just don’t flood your mailing list with mails so that you don’t annoy your subscribers.

Successful Forum Viral Marketing

In order to be successful using forums to do viral marketing there are some things that are required.

Do Your Homework: Prior to joining any forum, you must do some research.

  1. Join relevant forums that are in some way related to the promotion’s primary sales market. For example, someone involved with a health related product, many types of forums could apply….everything from holistic medicine to stay-at-home moms.

  1. Choose popular forums. There is no point in wasting your time and energy on forums that few members and few posts. Page raking and the amount of active members are two good ways to check for this.

  1. Choose forums that allow sig tags. If it’s possible read the rules before joining and pay attention to them. Your time is important, too. It is better to find out that a forum doesn’t allow posts with sig tags before you go to the time and trouble of joining.

After You Have Joined: OK…you have chosen two or three forums that meet your requirements…now what?

1. Keep your sig tag short and update it regularly. The ideal thing is to limit yourself to one link, preferably to your main website.

2. Never create posts that are nothing more than an advertisement. This all but a universal rule and only displays the marketers lack of experience if he does so. At best this kind of post will be deleted by the monitors….at worst, it is grounds for being banned.

3. Work the room. Be an active member on the forum. Plan to spend at least an hour each day there and take the time to get to know the users. Take the time to introduce yourself with intelligent questions depending upon the forum’s topic.

As a marketer becomes a regular member, they will hopefully develop a good reputation and without saying a word about their promotion, those who are interested in their product will approach them.

5 Ways To Improve Your Adsense Earnings

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

Humor Turns E-Mail Viral

A study by Sharpe Partners, an interactive marketing agency, revealed that 89% of adult Internet users in America share content with others via e-mail. This is excellent news for those companies who use self-propelling word-of-mouse” e-mail techniques to sell their products.

The study generated some interesting results regarding the type of content that is most often forwarded, as well. The most popular content is humorous material.

The second most popular category is news, followed by healthcare and medical information, religious and spiritual material, games, business and personal finance information and sports/hobbies… in that order. So it is easy to see that humor is the best content for your viral e-mail campaign.

Cartoons, jokes and funny video clips are among the things that can be added to an e-mail to insure that it will go viral. People will want to pass along something that makes them laugh.

They are a lot more likely to hit the forward button and send your email to their friends and relatives if it is an “advertainment” rather than an advertisement.

Not along ago, about 35 million people got an e-mail containing a picture taken in Disneyland. It took a minute to see it but there was Donald Duck lying prone in front of the famous Cinderella Castle. The title of the picture was “Bird Flu has hit Disneyland”. It was a viral e-mail advertising Disneyland and used the edgy strategy of making light of what’s serious… and it works.

I’d guess that most people who own a computer have seen that picture… and thus the advertisement for Disneyland. The bird flu epidemic is newsworthy and has the potential to attract an enormous amount of attention to any brand that might, for whatever reason, associate itself with it.

Remember that people are much more likely to share a joke or a funny picture than anything else so you would be well advised to include humor in your e-mail campaign.

How to Get the Best Results From Your Email Marketing Campaigns

Starting an email marketing campaign is one of the best decisions that a CEO, retailer, wholesaler, and owner of a business can make. Email marketing is a very fast, cheap and easy way to get your product and services to your clients, customers and potential customers.

I doesn't matter what business you are into. There is always an audience that needs your products and services; and the easiest way to get to them is via the email. You can reach an astonishing number of individuals in a very short period.

Because of its popularity, email marketing strategies and methods have been divided into the following categories. While this is by no means conclusive, it will at least give you an idea of the various methods available on the internet.

There are three of them namely: Marketing to an Opt-in list, Newsletter Marketing, and Bulk email marketing. Of all these three, marketing to an opt-in list produces the highest results followed by the Newsletter or ezine marketing. Forget about bulk email marketing campaigns. They are not worth all the stress. More than 55% of them are deleted on reception without even being read.

Have you ever visited websites that have the information you desire only to be asked to leave your email address so you can have access to the information? I am sure you would have encountered this several times on the internet. If the sites are reputable, they often send you a confirmation link that you have to click in your box before you can get to the download page or the download link.

Whenever you do that, you get on the information or service provider's opt-in list. These particular clients are the best you can send your offer to. Why? Because they have already showed an interest in what services and products you have to offer and as a result, are willing and more open towards hearing from you and ultimately buying from you. The opt-in list is a collection of email addresses collected by an individual or company as a result of the signified interest of such individuals.

The major mistake many new marketers make is to solicit to their lists immediately after signing them up. Unfortunately, even mature "old hands" who have the played the game for long still do this. While it may work for a few people, the majority just get a few orders. The quickest way to getting your clients to pick up your product is by helping them create an intense need within themselves. Make them feel like they can't live without you. Ok maybe that's going too far, but you get the point. Court your customers like you would a very beautiful woman. Make them dependent on you. Create in them, the thirst for more information from you. When you get to this level, they look out for your email and it becomes easy to sell to them.

I am subscriber to quite a few opt-in lists, ezines and newsletters. More often than not, I tend to ignore emails that do only one thing: Obvious selling. Recent estimates have shown that people would easily buy from service providers who offer nuggets of valuable information than from those who just sell. Over time, the emails who just sell are unsubscribed from while those that offer information get more subscribers. So, when you decide to set up your own email marketing campaign, have this at the back of your mind: Customers buy only from people they think are providing valuable information.

How To Use The Power Of Words To Effortlessly Persuade People To Buy Now

Imagine changing one word in your sales copy and it would
increase sales dramatically...

How can you accomplish this? Simply by using the right set
of words and phrases.

It's been 4 years already since I've been marketing online
and the number one skill you can have is writing killer web
copy.

But learning how to write great copy takes practice. A lot
of practice.

During my past online marketing experience I
compiled a list of hundreds of power words and phrases that
I think were really compelling to me.

Each time I came across a great piece of copy I would immediately
write down the words they used that attracted me onto my 49c
notepad.

Today, I have a great list of jaw-dropping words I can refer
to when I'm writing any type of marketing media such as
sales copy.

The problem is that there's so much competition in cyber
space. People creating "make money" ebook products, "diet"
ebook products and many more.

A lot of questions from people selling information products
came up, such as:

  • How can I separate myself from my competition?
  • How can I make my sales copy more irresistible?
  • How can I use psychological devices to inspire & persuade

    people to take action?

The first thing you can do to dramatically increase
conversion rates is change the way you describe and explain
things.
Don't bore people with overused words and phrases such as
"How to create ebooks in 5 steps".
Instead, add power words, psychological words, and phrases.

Here's an example - "How To Easily & Quickly Create A
Winning eBook Using 5 Proven Steps, Guaranteed"
.

Can you see the difference?
If this were a product, which one out of the two headlines
would you buy from? Of course the second headline!
Because:
  1. It makes a promise ("Guaranteed")
  2. It highlights the main benefit ("Create A Winning ebook")
  3. It shows you how easy it is ("Easily & Quickly")
  4. It's concise & specific ("5 proven steps")

This is just one use of using the power of words and
phrases. This concept can be used on headlines, subject
lines, auction headlines/descriptions, Pay-Per-Click advertising
and any marketing media you could think of.

Here are four easy steps you can take right now to create a list
of killer words and phrases for you to refer in the future:
  1. But a notepad - It doesn't need to be fancy. I use a

49c notepad I bought from the local grocery store. Or you

could use a word processing software such as notepad.

  2. Keep this notepad next to you at all times when you're

online. If you see a word that sounds appealing, write it

    down immediately.

  3. Organize them in alphabetical order. Numbers can also

be added to you list. For example 100%.

  4. If you're not on your computer and you see a great word,

write it down on anything you can find - even a paper towel.

Or type it on your mobile phone.

I'm speaking from experience and creating your own 'list' of
words and phrases can benefit immensely for your online
business.

When you get to the stage of writing your copy, simply take
out your words list and insert some words to juice up your
copy.

Without doing small exercise anyone can create, will just
lead to poor copy and allot of thinking. Thinking of words
to use on your copy.

So if you really want to dramatically increase your
conversion rate
then the first and most simplest things you
could do, without paying an extra dime on advertising, is
changing the way you communicate to the reader. And that's by
using the power of words & phrases.

7 Ways To Generate Free Website Traffic

Generating free traffic is not always the impossible
feat that it is made out to be. In fact, there are
many different ways in which you can generate free
traffic. Some are better than others; and some are
especially effective in some niches, but not in
others. Below, I've listed seven such methods:

1. Write articles and submit them to directories.
Include a link in your resource box that points to
your site. This will generate traffic and click
throughs long after you publish it.

2. Add “keyword” pages to your site. You can do this
by writing articles that are focused around a certain
keyword and then simply uploading them to your site.
When your site is indexed by the search engines,
traffic will pick up for those keywords.

3. Begin finding link partners and exchanging links.
This will not only get you direct click through
traffic from other sites, but it will also get you
search engine traffic once those sites are indexed and
your site is given credit for the inbound links.

4. Create a high-quality flash video or real life
video; add it to a page on your site. Post that video
on You Tube, Break.com, and on all social bookmarking
sites, such as http://del.icio.us, and
http://www.technorati.com. If your video is
exceptionally funny or interesting, people will begin
to circulate your video around the Internet. Remember
to include the URL of your site in the video, so
viewers can figure out how to find your products.

5. Create a free report on a specific subject related
to your business. In that report, include a link to
your site (preferably a newsletter opt-in form) every
few pages. Take that report and give it away for free
to every site owner in your niche. If you have a link
to one of your products in that report, allow the site
owner to rebrand it. That will make him much more
likely to redistribute it.

6. Post regularly on forums related to your site.
This is perhaps the easiest and quickest way to
generate traffic. All it entails is creating an
account on several good forums, making useful and
interesting posts, and then including a signature file
that allows readers to click through to your site.

7. Post free ads in places that actually get traffic.
Using “free ad forums” may be a waste of time in many
instances; however, bulletin boards that get traffic,
but allow free advertisement, may be a good place to
look.

If your current advertising budget is higher than
you'd like, you should consider using free
advertising. The seven tips I outlined above are just

Using Blogs to Make Money

There are a number of different ways in which you can use blogs to make money. Some blog owners constantly put up content-intensive, frequently-updated material; whereas others simply add a new post every once in a while. Both models can work reasonably well at generating revenue.

Let's look at the first model and what is required: in order to make money with a high quality blog, you will want to generate most of your traffic through word of mouth recommendation, rather than through search engine optimization, which will not give you any benefits for producing superior material. This means that you will want to promote your blog through different avenues.

I personally suggest that you consider two different avenues: 1) using social bookmarking sites to gain steam; and 2) promoting on forums.

Doing well with the first option entails creating something that is legitimately interesting; and then facilitating its circulation by submitting that page to social bookmarking sites, such as http://del.icio.us and http://www.digg.com. Additionally, on your blog, post a link that brings users to a social bookmarking site on which they can vote for your video or whatever it is you created. The more who vote on your blog, the better that blog post will rank on the social bookmarking system, increasing the amount of people who read your blog.

Now, if you prefer to take a different approach – to create multiple profitable, but low-maintenance blogs – you can simply create a blog and purchase information for it. For instance, you could setup a blog about dieting; and then purchase a set of 15 articles from a ghostwriter. Every 3-4 days, you could post a new article about dieting. Once you have a blog running, you can then move to the next one while you wait for the first to begin getting search again traffic.

With this method, you will want to get natural search engine traffic, rather than referred traffic, as the content you post will be high-quality, but not anything that will elicit some type of viral effect from social bookmarking sites.

Furthermore, when generating traffic, you will want to find ways to recycle it to ensure that your traffic constantly grows in the future.

Last, you will want to figure out how to monetize your blog or blogs. You can do this with advertising, by selling products, or by setting up some type of subscription. I personally suggest that you leave your blog unmonetized until you begin to build a regular base of visitors; however, if you are planning to go the multiple blog route, you may simply want to throw up Adsense ads immediately.

The Power of Affiliate Marketing

If you’ve been around for sometime now on the internet, you would have heard of the term Affiliate or Associate programs. Affiliate programs are programs organized by companies, individuals business owners etc. that allow an individual to earn money known as commissions by just referring people to their website. If they make a purchase, you earn a prearranged percentage of the whole amount of money paid by the client or customer. The beauty of this business is the fact that you do not need so many things like you do in creating your own website and maintaining it. All you need is just an affiliate program directory and the means to market and advertise the products so people can see them and buy.

There are many forms of affiliate marketing and their directories. If you want to look for them yourself, type the keyword “Affiliate marketing programs”, “affiliate programs”, “associate programs”, “referral programs”. Starting with just this list will do for now. On viewing the search page results, you’ll find there are lots of programs like that online. In fact so many they are virtually limitless. This is where your focus now comes into play. What form of market are you interested in? For instance, if you are interested in weight loss, you could type the keywords “weight loss affiliate programs”, “weight loss associate programs” etc.

Fortunately, some directories have already been created to this effect. The following websites are places where you can get lots of affiliate programs. What’s more, it doesn’t cost a dime to join most.

1. http://www.clickbank.com ClickBank
2. http://www.cj.com Commission Junction
3. http://www.shareasale.com Share a Sale.
4. http://www.associateprograms.com. Associate Programs.

These are just a few of the databases you can find containing thousands upon thousands of affiliate programs. There are different types of affiliate programs:

1-tier affiliate program:

In this situation, all you do is earn commissions from just one transaction. So, if the visitor you directed to the website buys as a result of your directing him, you’ll earn from him only once. If he is supposed to be paying a monthly fee, the affiliate marketer will only make money just once after which every other sales made by the individual he referred to the merchant wont earn him any money. Most products currently selling belong to this group and usually sell just once to the consumer.

2-tier Affiliate Program

Unlike the one-tier program where an affiliate earns just one time, you could make your commissions twice usually from someone who signed up to be an affiliate through your recommendations.

Lifetime Affiliate Program

This type of affiliate program is the type that produces what is called residual income. All an affiliate marketer has to do is sign the customer up once, and as long as the customer keeps paying the affiliate gets a cut of the money.

In truth, affiliate marketing is a very easy way of making money. You do not need a website to make any money. All you may need is just a blog which you might decide to leave hosted on the blog service’s host and getting the product in the face of consumers who will be interested in what you are offering them.

How to Make Money as an Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is an extremely lucrative niche and many people are making money from it. From just $50 a month to almost $250,000 a month, people are making money just referring people to merchants’ websites and get paid in return for their efforts.

An affiliate marketer makes money by just referring potential customers to the website of the merchant. If the customers buy as a result of an affiliate marketer’s directing them to the website, they earn a commission. To make money as an affiliate marketer, you need to know what you are selling. The mistake many affiliate marketers make is they send their lists offers just to earn some money without even trying out the products they are recommending to their customers. So, to make money as an affiliate marketer,

1. Know all about the products and services you are referring to people. It won’t take you much. You can pick up the product. Most times, all the hype we hear and see online telling about the effectiveness of a product is just a marketing strategy. There have been products that have been highly touted as being high quality when in essence, they are all high cost programs. For instance, an affiliate refers a customer to a merchant who has promised to give him 50% commissions. If the product the affiliate wants to sell is $197 each, he’ll be getting $98.5 after each sale.

2. Create a website for the purpose of selling the products. It is popularly known as a landing page. It is the page where visitors will arrive at first before they go ahead to the merchants’ website. The beautiful thing about this method is you can also create an opt-in list from this page. Anyone who visits the website obviously has an interest in products that you might have to offer. Selling affiliate products can be done as an aside to your main business and can help you profit very well. So, instead of just selling your own products, you get to sell other peoples’ products to make money.

3. On the website or blog, presell the customer. Preselling simply means building up your customers up to the level that they want to pick up the products and services you recommend. Preselling does not mean writing a sales pitch. Most new affiliate marketers make this mistake a lot. The truth is people are looking to buy something they think they are not being coined into. Unfortunately, not many people can write salescopy that is not only informative, but compelling. To make this approach profitable for instance, you could write an article around the product you want to sell.

A typical example is writing an article on how to effectively do sleight-of-hand. Then, create at the bottom, a link –your affiliate link- to a website where your visitors can find more information. The information they will find when they visit the link is the sales page on magic tricks. Now, the key to making his work is by providing a highly informative article on the products. Articles that are drab and dull will not produce the desired results while articles that are highly informative will most definitely produce results as visitors would like to peruse for more information.
